Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Season pass is amazingly good value though, once you factor Assassin's Creed 3 remaster in to it.(which I am interested in playing again, after reading about some of the gameplay changes they have made. AC3 wasn't a bad game, it just had some really bad missions in it... Not as bad as Black Flag, but it was getting there)

I didn't think the AC3 remaster was going to be much to write home about. I don't think they altered Far Cry 3 on PC for the season pass in Far Cry 5 so never paid it much attention. Thought it was more of a benefit for the console players which was bringing up Xbox 360 FC3 and AC3 to PC standard.

As well as improving graphics, they have added some gameplay elements from the recent entries like hiding in bushes, free-aiming and changed the ui and economy apparently.

On my 2nd play though now and just doing the main family story. Was going for a different ending but will probably end up with the best one again, I just can’t seem to make bad decisions.

Lol, reminds me of me trying to do a renegade mass effect play through, still ended up being good :o

I have high hopes for the Atlantis dlc too.

I think I must have been of the few who enjoyed the game. It was fantastically atmospheric, especially in winter. Travel in the wilderness could be a little tedious though. The fights were fantastic and some of the forts were genuinely challenging. Not like the recent games where eventually you become so OP you feel like you can take on the whole world at once.

No, I liked AC3, but by the end the tedium built up too much and I was glad it was over, and never really thought about it again. It had some good aspects though, I think the world is very underrated.

But this was peak creatively-dead Ubisoft(actually Black Flag was probably peak)... Awful forced fail States that made no sense, horrible ui that covered the screen with icons, those awful chase missions(kill me now, I'm not doing those again!)

I am so impressed with how Ubisoft have turned it around. The games they are making now are lightyears ahead of what they were making 5 to 10 years ago in terms of gameplay and Quality of life improvements.

Absolutely hated AC3 - only because of the tediousness that was the eavesdrop missions because there were so many of the damn things. Move out of range for just a second and it's rinse and repeat time! The crafting wasn't fun for some reason - as it has been so long I can't recall why. I just never enjoyed the game despite a great cast of characters barring our protagonist.

Think the crafting is getting a bit of a change. I know they are changing the economy.

Unfortunately there isn't really much they can do about the dreaded DESYNCHRONISED when you take a step out of line. Urgh

Did you go for Newgame+?

I'm not sure ng+ is good for this. Picking up new weapons and armour you haven't had before is a big part of it.

Yeah was just new game+. I was just a bit bored with the game as had nothing left except exploring. Im at 97% completion so very little left until new dlc comes out.

So AC3 remaster is out today, along with a few new AC Odyssey challenges that have been released this week that I haven't quite finished. Tropcio 6 also releases. Not enough time in the day!

And the devs couldn't even be bothered to include ultrawide support.

Some remaster.
Well that is crap. It should be in all PC games now as it’s getting more popular.
Have to agree, considering the size of their company. If a 10 person dev team (Outward) can add 21:9 support for their game in 7 weeks, Ubisoft should been able as well for their remastered titles. Linky
