Assetto Corsa Competizione

I did.

Packed in after the mandatory. It was going swimmingly well, consistent steady 1.56/7 in a group of 3-4 trailing each other for 30 minutes.

Sadly the limiter failed me, and then again another stop go on serving the last out of nowhere. Had enough and packed up. 10 people tracked in the end, disappointed how it turned out because for 30 minutes it was perfect.

Life got in the way I was made to go help do the shop:(, going by your lap times I'm 5/6 seconds slower on that track I'd probably of seen you passing a few times before the end:eek: I need a lot of practice I know my breaking is all over the place as I don't really know the corners to well so braking to early so to not go off the track.

Watch the unleashed videos on youtube. Obviously the basic one is the braking point, but you'll learn where to position the car and keep it stable. Just brake in a straight line for starters and cut to the corners, you'll drop under 2.00 just by taking it simple.

The nurburgring though is a bit of a bugger because you need the patience of a saint on some of the corners, it's hard to teach that:)

Back at work, back to weekends only...

From what i gather last Saturdays run was the first one they'd done for a while, which probably explains the low turnout.

How does everyone rate the 2018 Bentley GT3 car? I've been doing some practise with it the last few nights at it feels really nice to drive, the traction is an issue with an XBONE controller as it wants to light up its tyres quite often. Is there a way to control how much throttle is applied on the triggers?

I guess not as it's geared towards wheels and pedals but would make life a bit easier :)
Try changing to a less aggressive engine/throttle map. Try map 2 and 3 and see if either help.

Some races and tracks I find I can be up to 9 seconds behind the leader. I know this does depend on the car but I can't seem to get it under 155 where others do it at 148.That's either Spa or Nurberg I forget which. Monza I can win and have done so a few time. I also find that my rating is very up and down. I was up to 59 yesterday and then entered a few races, my first race had a huge pile up which I could not avoid and then a similar thing in another race. I lost 2 points but managed to get 1 back again with some nice consistent laps and staying a second behind someone.

Yeah just try and get a few good races in and it'll soon rise. Once you get a few good races in you'll get a buffer so an accident or two won't matter.

Still have found the energy to practice for the 'Race Department' race at Donington on Thursday. The joys of long covid perhaps....

I can't remember off the top of my head but it's not the greatest. I think it's 1.34 but I'll double check when I'm on later on. I can do the track fine but I must be loosing a good couple of seconds at least on the hairpins at the end just can't seem to work with them.
I changed all the controller settings to suit my driving on the xbox and got it good, so copied them for the pc and there nowhere near the same so trying to tweek the car again, now spinning on tight corners.

Done a few lobby races yesterday to qualifying around fourth but into the race I've noticed if I hold back till the first couple corners especially monza, leave everyone to crash then get going it clears the track a bit. A race of 8, people dropped out one by one till it was down to 2. I was 10 seconds ahead the last 8 laps till I spun on the last lap and seen him driving by was gutted.

Same story tonight unfortunately.

What sort of times are you boys getting on Donington ? I see a few more have signed up which is great.
On a dry track, reasonable temps, fast/optimum track I'm mid 1:28's in the Porsche. That's with an hours worth of fuel on board. Expect fast drivers to be doing 1:26's under similar conditions.

That is my next project for the games room, mostly game offshore so it's been laptop and controller, maybe get slightly quicker times connecting to a bigger TV ill have to try.
