ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition: The Ultimate LGA2011 Motherboard

8 pack - Just had a quick question for you bro. Apart from the molex on the bottom of the board for additional power (EZPLUG) are there any more additional power plugs on the board that you are aware of?

(The RIVE had the PCI Xpress 6 pin for GPUs and a 4 pin floppy power for the RAM?)

Am custom making/sleeving PSU cables so would really appreciate your input.

Regarding RAM, wish I saw your advice earlier (16gb Max), as I already ordered about 3 months ago for my build 64GB Dominator Platinum 2133Mhz! If I cherry pick the CPU (4930k or 4960x), do u think I could get a decent overclock given the RAM saturation? i.e. how strong is the IMC on these puppies? (I will use custom water cooling)

Last question! I will have 2 x 560, 3 x 480, 1 x360 rads in total for my system. Am planning to run dual loops (3 x 480 for the CPU + MB cooling), (2 x 560 + 360 for the GPUs Quad sli or quadfire (hawaii maybe :-))??? Is it better to have one super loop? I plan on using 4 pumps, 2 for each loop... Sorry this is a little off topic, but completely on topic in a way as I want to get the configuration that maximises the overclock potential on the Black Edition board!!

Many thanks, and sorry for all the questions. But its great to be able to ask q's to an expert such as yourself :-)

Was wondering when u get a chance if u can answer the above q's for me. Cheers.

Greetings, 8 pack, i have a quick question,do you think this GSKILL 32G(4x8G) 2933 ram kit is able to work stable on R4BE with 4960x. Cheers.

The IMC on chip will need to be strong to do 2933mhz. Those dimms are Hynix MFR anyway so are not really built for performance. High TRFC. I have seen 3000+ done stable but sweet spot for perf is 2666mhz with Samsung IC.

You don't need to plug in any of those supplementary cables anyway. I run 4 x 780 or 4 x Titan with very very high volts and speeds without them plugged in so dont worry.

Dual loop is the best arrangement for me.

But you simply dont need all that RAD space pumps etc. One pump for each loop is fine.

Thanks for your reply. But there is no way to buy a 2666c10 RAM with Samsung IC. Corsair and gskill 2666c10 kits are out of stock all over the world.
