Asus ROG Ally

So the Handheld guy on YouTube has found when docked, it can go up to 40W. Looking forward to seeing what it can get up to at 40w!

Its hidden under the custom profiles.

Cheaper than expected for sure. Too much for me though. None of the games i want to play on the deck are too taxing... the last one was speedball 2, amiga emulator.

Looking forward to the reviews though.

ASUS emailed me a link to pre-order and all I get is a notify button, does that mean all their allocation has gone?

Yeah

To be fair there was a sizeable window.
I'm hyped for the Ally, but I think some of the reviews have made me happier to hold with my Deck for now.

I love my Steam Deck, but since getting a ps5 I can't remember the last time I played a game locally on it..I just use chiaki to remote into the ps5 with it, so not even tempted by one of these right now.

Not touched Linux in ages. I wonder what performance / battery life will be like with this running SteamOS? I’d be interested to see it. I assume you could just put it on another SSD and switch it to avoid warranty issues? Drivers on the other hand, may be a problem.

Would be an interesting comparison thats for sure.
