Asus ROG PG32UCDM - 4k OLED 240hz

That Agon at £648 seems like the buy of the moment imo, 165Hz but 99% it won't make a difference to.

Looks like that one uses the LG OLED panel and is matt

I think the colours/picture look far better on a samsung QD-OLED panel

I have both a 65" OLED using an LG panel and a 65" OLED using an QD-OLED panel in the house and it crazy how much better the colours look on the QD-OLED
(But of cause doesn't mean it be the same for these 32" monitors)

I can get this monitor for £940. I have been looking at OLEDs for a while. The £650 ones were tempting me, and one day later, here we are looking at the Asus :o . It will be primarily used on my PS5 Pro, but I have a fairly good PC. I'm all about future-proofing, though. My only concern is 2.2 on the horizon, but I doubt I'll be upgrading my GFX card anytime soon, and console gaming is my go-to. Decisions, decisions.

Hi all,

I Recently purchased a PG32UCDM and I'm using an nvidia 4060 (stop gap until I get my 5090! :D) via HDMI 2.1 cable to this screen and also a PS5 slim to the second HDMI port. I am wanting to use the console HDR setting for my PS5 and gaming HDR setting for my PC but I have to keep using the OSD to change the setting as it's not saving separate settings for each input. Is there a way around this or an option to do so? It's quite annoying having to change this setting when swapping inputs.

Many thanks!

I ended up buying the Aorus one (:
Make sure you update the firmware. I got it on release and with the daisy chain connected to a second monitor it would often be black on boot and I’d have to turn the monitor off and on. Doesn’t happen with the latest firmware :D

Well I've decided to send my back for a refund for a number of reasons - the brightness is nowhere near as good as my 42" C4 in HDR, there is a high pitched noise from the panel when it's off coming from the back of the unit. The panel is leaning slightly to one side on the stand which is noticeable which is a common issue apparently and there doesn't seem to be a separate methods for settings to be saved for more than one input. On the plus side the monitor is very well built, KVM etc is nice and the SDR brightness is good. Think I'll wait until they can get the HDR brightness increased as it just seems dull to me and also the addition of display port 2.1 added. It's now dropped to under £1000 as well from the retailer I've bought it from, I paid £1250 a few days ago.

Had you updated to the latest firmware?

Is the Asus better than the alienware?
I am also looking at which is the best between this and the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor - AW3225QF. I love my 42" C3 for gaming but for some games find it a little too big. So my plan was a 240hz OLED 32" for gaming and use the LG C3 in my Kitchen when I finally move to my new house.

Did you receive the monitor ?
If yes what do you think of it ? Good & bad points

First impressions are - Small!! :D
But that is just as I'm used to the 42" C3, i'll get used to it pretty quickly I think.

Jokes aside, it's stunning. Superb build quality. Only played WZ for a couple of hours last night so far but the difference in smoothness is night and day. The higher refresh rate is really noticeable, also everything is so clear which I guess is down to the PPI.

WZ is much easier to play as you can see the whole screen without having to move your head.

It is really bright as well, followed the setup guide on TFT Central and so far so good. Really happy with it.
Updated the firmware which was hit and miss, kept saying monitor wasn't detected or something along those lines, then all of a sudden it started to update.

I really like the Display Widget Centre as well, allows you to change settings from the Windows app rather than on the monitor itself which is easier. Although I have noticed some major mouse pointer stutter, slow down when it's active sometimes.

Other than that, I really like it!

Sod it, ordered the Asus this morning, should here tomorrow. Fingers crossed I made the right decision.

LOL I also said sod it and ordered one of these Asus monitors this morning.:D

But it not expected to be delivered till next Saturday or Monday as am in the Channel Islands

Well, I have to say I love it. It is absolutely superb. I was a little unsure but so glad I did pull the trigger. Games look and run so great paired with my 4090.
I was on the fence as to whether I would upgrade to the 5090 but now having 240hz it might be worth it!

Will be interested to know your thoughts on it when it arrives. I do hope you love it as much as I do!

Got the AW3225QF last week £840, 24 x no interest.
Quite impressive, but don’t expect the 4080 to push anything near the max frame rate, unless sacrificing the visuals to a point which defeats the purpose of it for quality.
