Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - *** WARNING: SPOILERS ***

Hulk is tired of being used by Banner to do all the fighting that's all. He will come out if he feels the situation is truly dire and not on Banner's command.

Hulk just refuses to come out because he got whooped and is actually afraid of Thanos. I thought they made that obvious, to be blunt.

Tbh I don't know what would be alienating? For most of his life he was obsessed with courting death and when he finally had the chance he refused and evolved into the being that replaced her. Thanos means God of Death. I don't see what's so hard to grasp? Its quite annoying to me to see the Avengers having the remotest of chances against him when he's defeated the Silver Surfer, Super Skull, Gladiator, Ronin, Beta Ray Bill and Quasar all at the same time in the Thanos Imperitive, without the Gems and without breaking a sweat. The movie turned him in to a wussy.

i think the movies needed to be more grounded - you can't do most of the crazy crap you see in comics, its just too weird for a general audience imo.
At the end of the day its about making money, and appealing to comic book nerds doesn't make you billions of dollars ;)

for what its worth i thought it was a good compromise and an excellent film that went further than i expected it to.

That's what I thought, but not according to the directors.

Hulk is fed up of being used to save the day by Banner.

It doesn't fit with what we've seen so far of Hulk and feels like a thinly thought out afterthought. It also doesn't come across even remotely like that in the movie, just portrays as though he's scared as it's the first time he had his ass handed to him :D

It's been explained to him many times.
So what? I don't like the way they portrayed Thanos. What's up with having and expressing an opinion on it? I'm not asking or expecting anybody to agree with it. :)

Its pretty bad to think that Thanos' solution might be the way forward for our planet.
We watched this last night.

I think it is one of the best that has been made by marvel, I really enjoyed the film, didn't seem too long, didn't drag, surprisingly worked in a great many characters well, without feeling overloaded.
Superb ending. Enjoyed it as much as the winter soldier.

I am assuming that Strange seeing only one future in which they won, was one where they let Thanos win, and later he'll change his own mind, and reverse everything. Bit coppy outy if that is what eventually happens, but we shall see.

In addition he has since become more powerful by evolving into Death. Not an aspect of death like Hela but the Abstract entity that stands side-by-side with Eternity and the likes of Galactus. They are brother, father and son to each other.

But nothing stops a bullet to the head or a slice to the head though right? he isn't Deadpool who can grow back from a fingernail.

I'm hoping there is no Thanos reversing, we have the Captain Marvel film to come and im sure that is going to create the 'out' for all the characters that were wiped out to come back. I do actually hope though that Hulk gets to be his bad ass self in the next film and smash a bunch of stuff as i feel he was always a bit under powered compared to the Ang Lee and Ed Norton versions.

As Hulk as been so subdued in this one you gotta wonder if they next one will feature him more prominently? is there a chance that actually he could be the only one who could handle the glove if they somehow prize it off thanos?

Is there something Any man vs Wasp can bring to the table?

Probably not in the MCU unless it's written. In the comics he's immortal.
Incidentally, the directors recently stated that it isn't Thor or even Captain marvel who is the greatest threat to Thanos. It's Tony Stark

For extra ridiculousness, watched a YouTube video last night that suggested Loki was Hulk/Banner and Hulk died on the ship. What a load of crap that suggestion was!

Yeah that's Requiem (ie., Gamorra) using the power gem fixed in the blade. He's not dead permanently since he is cursed with immortality. He's been dead many times, including killing himself to get out of a predicament. He recently killed his future self because he didn't want to end up being like he was etc.
