Baldur's Gate 3

Here's the most important question in relation to BG3 : will you respect every die rolll made in game, or will you scum save ?
I normally do save scum sometimes (all the time) but less so in the newer divinity games where the choices for failure are more fun. Think with BG3 I'll need to try and force myself not to although suspect if there's those rolls where it's 1 under, well... ;)

It's a shame they've confirmed there won't be a pre-load option. Install looks like it'll be around 100+ GB, damn my slow internet. :(

I have to say, theres always a lot of talk about CPUs and GPUs but the single best upgrade I ever got for my gaming was 1gb fibre. It literally revolutionised the way I game.

Got Friday off so I'll have a play about with this then :)

I haven't bought the game yet but will do it and do the 2 hour demo/refund thing if I'm not really feeling it, but I suspect that I will like it.

It meant that I didnt need to download games overnight in order to play them the next day. Also meant that I was free to simply uninstall games whenever I wanted if I needed to free up space etc, knowing that if I had the urge to play game X again later I could redownload it in 10mins rather than needing to "plan" being able to play it again. In essence, it gave me a flexibility and convenience to my gaming that I simply didnt have previously.

Previously If I wanted to try out an 80gb game to see if I liked it etc, I'd have to plan it in advance, now I can jump into a freshly downloaded game in a matter of minutes, which means I can jump from game to game at a whim

It is a nice thing to have, but I would not say revolutionary or better than a CPU or GPU upgrade. But then that depends on what speed you came from I guess. If a 8mb line or something then I get it.

I am looking to go 1gb, but mainly want to go with a good network like Community Fibre. Have had 380mb and can't see much of transformation for me.

I look more forward to a better ping I think.

My Mrs goes in hospital for an op on Friday morning and won't be home until Monday afternoon. Of course I've had to book both those days off as I'll be taking her/bringing her home.

Sometimes things just line up beautifully!

I went from 60mb to 1 gig, so very revolutionary for my gaming :D
