That should be fine, I was running it at 1080P with near 60fps on an RX580 8GB, although that was with a recent system (7950X and 128GB RAM, NVME, etc) When the RX580 8GB was in an older system, X79 i7 4930k, 64GB RAM, SATA SSD, it was more 25-35fps, usually lower in more graphically intense areas.I look forward to trying this next time I am away at work. How demanding a game is it? A Razer Blade 14 with a 3070 should be ok? I hope haha!
Just picked this up and steam. Think I have made a mistake installing it though. There is talk about deleting the whole game and having to re-download it all after 4pm tomorrow to get the correct version.
Balls! Ah well, I doubt I would have got time to play it tomorrow anyway. Thanks for the info, hopefully I can find some time this weekend. That is correct, your downloading the Early access version right now. So will need to delete it and when the time comes, should let you download the actual game.
I'm sure those 10 minutes are very important
What time is this releasing? the Steam page just references the early access release date!

Yes, everyone can join and go into char creator / start together. One person hosts the session and gets all the Save files. To play again the host loads the saves and then everyone joins. The characters aren't linked directly to the player, it's selected when people join the session.I’m intending to play it with a friend of mine coop. Can we take in 4 characters and “create” all of them?
Our current thoughts are a wizard, cleric, fighter and thief.
Its the flip side of the coin for me, my biggest complaint about BG1 and BG2, coming from a D&D background, was that they were not turn based combat. I found it counterintuitive to its D&D roots. So for me, BG3 being turn based is a big plus.I bought Baldur's Gate 2 from CEX in 2001 or so had no idea what is was or even had internet at the time, took up 2GB of an 8GB HD.
Had to reroll a character after making a mess of my first but after that was such a great game, building a paladin that could take care of itself in smaller fights, pressing pause when needed, a perfect system. I remember exciting, Diablo style combat, being rushed by spiders or undead all in real time. So exciting and even had a survival horror feel to it, getting rushed and overwhelmed.
Turn based has its place but I'm so unenthused by it in BG3, might as well make Diablo turn based for how much it changes the game. The fact they already had a turn based engine is clearly a huge reason for changing the essence of the game so much. Being honest, all videos of the combat are so sterile and boring to me compared to the excitement and chaos of the real time combat.
Granted, real time had its issues, often pausing so much in hard fights, it was almost turn based, but that was still a player choice. BG 3 looks to be a fantastic turn based game, but as others have said too far from BG2 for me.
Tombstone has gracefully elected to defer downloading the game until after midnight to allow us peons a chance to play shortly after launch.I believe the older games were turn order as well but there was no pause so it felt real time.
Should we start a pool for how long steam will be down at golive?
I think around an hour.
