Not yet available on other platforms, PS5 is next month and Xbox is TBA (mainly because the series s sucks)

Have started to avoid this thread a bit being wary of spoilers but my coop group has had some good banter so far.

Solo run is really hooking me though, doubt I'm even half way through act1 yet. There's a few wee quality of life things I'd love to see in it though. My Dragonborn Ancients Paladin:

Spent far too long just making my first character, then it wanted me to do it again for a protector! I just hit random for that one. Not got far at all, in fact I had to stop playing just after the first fight. I went with a sorcerer but not sure how magic works. The fireball had something about 1 day in the information when you hover over it.... Can you only use it once a day?

Am looking forward to jumping back in, might even try get it running on the deck.

You have spell slots, which are a certain number of spells you can cast a day, as you level up the number of slots goes up and you gain higher level spell slots. Cantrip spells dont take a slot, and can be used as often as you want. All your spell slots are replenished after a long rest.

It can be a bit confusing at first but once you've had a few fights it starts making sense.

I've been playing on deck. Native its ok though it eats the battery. It is a very good candidate for streaming though. Any additional latency is hardly noticeable and you get much better visuals and battery life. Though I have noticed some hitching, which can be annoying at times. And on one occasion the video froze for a couple minutes during a fight so had to run upstairs so I could see what was happening. But I think that's mostly just down to my own steaming settings and network and not specifically the game or steam

Loving it so far, aside from one very annoying visual bug. On camera focus, there are rings emanating from the focus point, for instance the hud in this screenie. If I press O for tactical overview, it just persists and looks absolutely terrible over normal textures and it's super distracting. I've tried all graphical settings, reinstalling driver, relaunching the game. Shy of reinstalling, I'm really not sure what could be causing this and it's breaking immersion greatly for me.

Anyone else getting this?

Anyone got any ideas?

Struggling with the Sorceror at the moment. Not really understanding the whole spell point / slot system. The class has an ability where you can cash in spell points to open a spell slot. I assumed that would then let me memorize an extra spell, but it doesnt. Im just being thick i guess, but i might re-class to Wizard through Withers for a few gold.
And the whole action system is confusing me too. I can move, then cast a spell / meelee and thats it. I thought you would have extra actions after, hence all the tabs at the top of the icon window. Lots of fun, just not really understanding the mechanics :)

Movement, action, bonus action, reaction. These are the main points and you get one of each for the most part per turn. There are powers, skills, classes that get more for example most melee classes get extra attacks (at higher levels) that they can do as part of an attack action; one action, multiple hits. There's a lot of almost duplication for the hotbar as well. Skill X melee, Skill X ranged as it doesn't auto use whichever weapon you have out at the time.

The Sorcerer lacks the versatility of a Wizard due to their limited number of spells known, but share many of the same capabilities and has access to most of the same spell lists. I enjoy the Sorcerer as it has a few good tools and can be used to fix most problem, has a different flare to things as it's all about maximising the limited resources. Their spells are always known, there's no looking for scrolls to write new spells down, preparing spells every time you rest etc. I find casting lower level spells at higher levels happens often. Their Metamagic is where they really shine though. Twinned spell allows you to affect two targets with one cast being a standard favourite. Since Charisma is their spellcasting ability they also can make good face characters, talking to others.

I've not played this style of game for a while so it was a bit overwhelming at first and yeah I hit a couple of the objects to see the affects and managed to kill myself in acid, fire etc.

Only choice now is to carry on playing with an RX7600 on a 48" TV locked at 30 fps or switch to the main system with an RTX 4080 plus a 34" UW monitor. Currently I like the shear cinematic size of the TV for cutscenes and 30fps is fine for the game style.

It looks glorious in ultrawide, go for it.

The thing here is that it doesnt matter whether BG3 raises the bar for CRPGs, the important thing is that this level of success will hopefully mean that the RPG genre itself gets a new lease of life from the success of BG3 and we see more RPGs being made which is a good thing for RPG fans.

Bought this last night after lots of shall I/shan't I and am enjoying it.

Never seen, in a character creation screen, options for Vulva 1/Vulva 2/Vulva 3/Penis 1/Penis 2/Penis 3 before.
