BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Well i received my second replacement today, again the colors are rubbish but i am just gonna have to put up with that, man i would even settle for getting rid of my really nice one and having one of the inferior ones just so long as the images match up as its very distracting.

The courier seemed to think i had just been sent same monitor that i returned back and was pointing at some kind of label on the box. Although its all packaged up inside there are scratches on the top of the case which makes me believe its possibly a refurb which is pretty bad considering i have paid for a new monitor.

Get it sent back Jubei - i had some marks on my second one but i put up with it as at least it was a VA

Wish i could mate but my g/f is getting proper agitated about the whole business and i have already sent 2 back, how many more am i expected to send back and be stuck with one monitor :/

Does everyone else get this high pitched humming noise when the monitor receives no signal? ie when its in standby, if you leave it on standby the humming goes on then off due to the led flashing, but if you turn the monitor off it remains constant and becomes even louder, its very strange, im thinking of rma it but im not sure if its common with all of them, can anyone with a ocuk panel please check this, i know some people have got it but not sure if its with every panel

thanks

Thats the noise i was on about, this second replacement of mine is still doing it mate and yes when i turn the monitor off its really loud.

I have two of the screens and one of them makes no noise, my friend also has a screen that makes no noise either so i dont think its meant to be there no. Looks like i have to rma it again but i have already done that twice i dont wanna spend my life tryin to get a second monitor lol. Wish i had just bought a couple of samsungs or something now :(

My 2nd screen has now developed same problem as my 1st, ie horizontal black line running full width of screen. Only had this one less than 2 months, not a happy bunny now

Will see how it goes over next few days but it looks like a call to OCUK support within the week

I got mine today. Pretty pleased with it.

Looks great, took a while to get used to the difference in size tho!

Only problems:

Wobbly, when typing the thing can start rocking back and forth, will look into some way to stiffen it up.

Light, the power LED is annoying! Bright blue! (currently covered with a dod of blu tac)

Reflections, tho granted this is a minor problem, around the edges the reflections off the shiney side surfaces catches your eye.

The only real problem is the wobbling which is annoying.

Would have been nice if it was more adjustable too, it sits a little higher than I would have liked, but I knew that it wasnt adjustable when I ordered it.

What you could do is make your existing desk more stable and heavy. So, for example, if you put a load of books (or other heavey items such as bricks), on the desk, then it should be more difficult to rock/move it and the monitor which sits on it.

Having trouble with the white balance here. White is clearly warmer (more red) in the lower 1/4 of the screen, then fades to a colder white at the top of the screen :-( Problems with the backlight perhaps? Problems persists at extreme viewing angles, so it's not that.

Panel type is AU-M240UW01-V2 one of the new MVA panels.

The problem is clearly visible when viewing a webpage with a white background, and on page 15 of the Eizo monitor test (it displays four white boxes in each corner).

Do I have to document this somehow before getting an RMA number?

Anyone else experienced this?

How to make sure the technician actually properly examines the display? I'd rather not pay for the shipping just to get the same monitor back... (I live in Denmark so shipping is not exactly cheap). I expect to get shipping payd if the problem is verified and I get a new monitor - Am I right in assuming this? I'd much appreciate a reply by Gibbo, if you are still around - you seem like a reasonable and helpful guy - in fact reading parts of this thread (despite the number of error reports - that's to be expected) convinced me to go ahead with the purchase in the first place - please don't let me down on customer support :-)

Thanks

Although generally happy with this monitor there is one thing that bugs me.
When in the bios or a dos screen the picture doesnt fit.
Obviously this is very low res and and i would expect it to look blocky but there is no way i can find to adjust the geometry.

Are geometry adjustments avaiable when using the DVI cable ?

Mine resizes... and I'm using the DVI cable so I would assume so.
