BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Any chance someone can load a black image fullscreen on their monitor or use this program HERE(DPB) and take a picture straight on, and one at a sharp angle and one from above?

I have one of these but thinking of sending it back... again for a replacement as i keep getting a strange red bleeding effect at sharp angles, its very strange but could just me being fussy therefore i want to see what everyone elses panels look like, thanks

This has probably already been asked but this thread is so long it would probably take me all day to find

How do you remove the stand? I cant seem to find any screws or clips to get the thing off

[edit] Nevermind, managed to find some nice instructions

Sorry if this has already been answered, but how does Xbox 360 look on this monitor at full res? Does it stretch if you put it on 1080p or is that not available?

Is it worth considering a HDMI capable monitor, or would this with dvi/vga be as good as any?
I'm currently using a VGA cable for my xbox 360 and thats going to my old 19" monitor.

Personally i have set my xbox360 at 1080 however i have to scale it down (using the monitors auto adjust button) in order to get the entire image to appear on my screen so it doesnt keep its exact aspect ratio however you would never notice, i currently have mine connected with a VGA cable and it looks awesome, some people say that vga is better than a hdmi cable so doubt you'd see any major improvement with any other cable

edit- forgot about that post, the guy who posted it used his phone's camera therefore the quality aint too great and the whites arent a true reflection of what they are actually like, heres a picture i took at the time to show how the whites actually did look LINK

Can I ask what wall mount for this screen, I want to put it in a corner so need it abit adjustable.
Its too big for my workstation, so gonna do some changing around, make a normal flat desk and wallmount the screen.

Nice one mate, i've ordered one! Looking forward to playing on that ;)

I agree, good monitor. I have same SA-LTM240M2-L01 panel inside my DGM. Read my little write up on it, tell me if you agree--> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11825022&postcount=3845

Cruicky

Yeah i agree with all said. Excellent monitor! I set up a dual screen setup with my old TFT monitor (19" BenQ, 2ms g2g response time) and I couldnt notice any lag at all between the two.. Played UT3 on it, some Crysis, Assassins Creed, Guitar Hero 3, and Age of Conan on this screen, and i cant notice any blurring at all over my old screen.

Very happy with it so far. Just hope it doesnt let me down, as i like the screen in it which is also used in the £900-£1000 eizo!

I assume S-PVA is one of the best?

I also did some Input lag tests. I see that ‘Gregeff’ had some very good lag test results on his panel, almost no lag, wow. I wish I could say the same about this one. I did 12 photos with my camera phone of my screen next to an old CRT monitor and then did an average of the difference of ‘ms’ between them both. The result a poor of score of 52ms. (ms=1/1000 of a second).
I kind of knew this panel had a lag problem even before doing the tests as I get a small amount of mouse lag. It’s very small but you can feel it ever so slightly when moving the mouse. What you see on screen is what the computer sent 4 frames ago. Which is a bit of a shame as I’m a games player. But for £200 pounds I don’t mind too much. I would have minded if I had bought the £400 24" Dell monitor which has this same problem, same panel in fact. You do get usage to it. Small bad point on a very nice monitor in which I’m very very happy with :).

Cruicky

Hey Cruicky, I guess thats the difference between the AU A-MVA panel in mine and the Samsung S-PVA panel in yours. If you are near Bristol and wanted to swap your S-PVA for my A-MVA and have virtually no input lag, I would gladly do so, as I don't game and would prefer your panel ;)

With having the yuraku version supporting HDCP, will i get better image quality (not that it can improved on much) by using the HDMI -> DVI cable? I have a DVI-HDMI adapter for my GPU... is it worth it over the hi-qual DVI cable i have?

Mines fine Jasebta

Can't fault it yet

From 4yr old real heavy 19" to this well, I'm in love lol

btw the AV at the start of your panel ID should be AU

http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ i used that for setting ine up, Must say i didn't have to adjust much

Really chuffed with still

Still a small gripe, Can't see the register the warranty online, Gonna try again later, But it's simple enough for me to call at the worst ;)

Ciao
