Batman™: Arkham Knight Performance

Yeah, it's not like anyone looks on the internet these days for reviews, and user feedback and opinion, before buying something is it. That would be just madness.

Metacritic user reviews: currently at 1.4 out of 10. Just one example.

If I paid attention to every review I'd be playing on a console - God forbid.

I'm off to wash my mouth out. :D

Have IQ's exponentially dropped on here today?

Can't be bothered. Enjoy the game if you're enjoying it and let's leave it at that eh.

No, they haven't.

It's just a typical moanfest about x/y/z that happens on here more often than I like to see. Same as internet reviews from users. New game has teething issues. Shock horror.

I just find it moronic that you've not even played the game yet you're crying about the game more than most people in this thread.

Ha. ?. I don't like you.

And crying? Mild weeping at the most. Blubber. Naughty batman.

I think it is safe to say the majority are having problems with this game in terms of performance, you just have to look at the reviews across the entire internet; steam, metacritic etc. Has any game from the last year received as much back lash as this? Not even the witcher 3 got as much hate despite the MASSIVE downgrade in graphics, performance issues at the start (mainly hairworks being way over tessellated)

The only people who I have seen saying that the game plays smoothly are the ones with the fps cap set to 30 still and going by youtube videos, it doesn't look "buttery" smooth to me, I can still see juddering (watching them with 60 fps option). Fair enough if people are finding it smooth but 30 fps is still 30 fps no matter how you try to spin it. I could probably play the game happily enough since it isn't a game that requires 60+FPS like other types of games i.e. FPS shooters but still we shouldn't have to....

Besides, regardless of the performance issues, it still doesn't change the fact that:

- the pc port was handled by a **** company and we weren't told this until the rep mentioned it when addressing the issues, which I'm sure he is probably getting a lot of **** from his boss about letting that slip...
- pc graphics aren't even as good as the consoles, no AO, missing & pop in textures, no rain effects on batman, the bat mobile
- disabling the FPS cap apparently makes some of the physics effects spas out

So people are genuinely happy that their £700+ PC is not providing as good of an experience as a £300 (?) console? So much for "pc master race"....

Running fine here with ave of 70+ fps. :)

My FPS cap is 9999 or something, game is fine for me.

Might be fine for you guys but from what others are saying (and that is a lot more than just a handful of people), removing the FPS cap and even when getting 50+ fps, apparently the stutter is awful. Also, are you guys not noticing issues with the physics like the others?

iirc, you have a gsync monitor whyscotty? If so, that is probably hiding a lot of the stutter for you.

Granted I've only played it for 30 minutes or so, but I noticed nothing strange or odd looking. Like I said, it played fine for me. The only issue I had was a little bit of tearing but that can be solved with Nvidia adaptive sync I imagine.

Only Witcher 3 performance was improved, and it still uses the same amount of tessellation as it did on day one. Any comparisons on why the graphics aren't apparently as good as PS4? Considering it has none of the GW libraries. Or in some cases the same number of pixels.

I'm all for instigating this as there are clearly some big issues that need addressing, but I don't really think you've got the right idea.
Classic Chinese whispers.

Yes mate, but I use the ULMB feature not Gsync.

However, having 12Gb of vram could possibly be making the difference.

Nope, waiting on a new build next month before tackling it.

No offence - your opinion on how the game plays is groundless, until you have.

None taken. But I haven't offered an opinion on how the game plays. At all.

What I did do was offer an opinion on the selfishness of those who think that their own personal experiences should apply to everyone, and that if it doesn't, the others must be wrong in some way.

Not really.

Have you read the thread?

Yeah have you ?

Did rocksteady port this or make it from the ground up? I hear the DRM used is resource hungry. Why lock

the FPS if it can be unlocked so easily (only for the likes of us and not normal PC gamers)? Gameworks seems a bit of a joke?

How can you up the minimum requirements hours before release? What are AMD/nVidia playing at?

I was so chuffed buying this game yesterday? GTA V, whilst running (performance) great, still isn't fixed (crashing) and now

this! PC master race :o:D

GameWorks, Denuvo DRM and a port handled by Iron Galaxy? Genuinely surprised that it runs at all. :D

Another quality Gameworks title!

Another quality gameworks title I see. :p

Why O why would they release it in this such state? Why is it all these Gamework title come out with

so much bugs? is it really worth Devs the extra time?

The smoke is a joke, the only decent GW is the extra paper moving about.

30fps on PC WOW! glad I only paid £15 might wait for some patches. and my monitor to come back.

Gameneverworks

Now that its issues with Nvidia they refer to them as "our external PC development partner"

They are having a laugh.

Game ready driver with no SLI support !!! (This IS Nvidia's fault)

No ultra settings.

Game capped at low frame rate.

TWIMTBP

TWIMTBM

The way it's meant to be milked.

If the game says TWIMTBP in the credits NVidia are as guilty as they come.

I`m Furious I went Green Now!

This is how I see it , Nvidia gave them a wad of cash to sell with GPUs , rocksteady said "this will give us bigger margins if we outsource to the smallest team possible and take there cash then if we put effort in and sell of our own backs" ... Hit and run with gameworks being used as a a plaster . I Once a believer and defender , now turn my back on gameworks .

More like Game doesn't Works

Breaking News

In an effort to increase flagging sales of this awful game the devs have decided to give away a free GTX 980 Ti with every game code sold.

Why is it that most if not all Nvidia backed Games run like crap on PC?

Another GameWorks title, another total joke. When will people learn ....
