Batman™: Arkham Knight Performance

Game looks like ****, I will be waiting for it to be updated so it's at least on par with PS4. :o

I can agree with you to an extent. I don't think it looks that bad but certainly could do with some AO and some of the characters in the cut scenes look like they have sprayed chrome over their mouths (Mad Max anyone?) but gameplay is there and smoothness is there, so I can live with that and I got it cheap from cdkeys.

I'm on ps4 an............

Just got a 980Ti and it come with a code for the game, tried to register it thinking it would go through as i'm not actually buying it, but no joy. I assume that's standard and will be sorted when the game is back on Steam?

Graphics look horrible, even worse if any GameWorks settings are turned on as the game reverts to DX10 and breaks the Afterburner OSD. Even at 1080p with 2x 980 G1's the frame rate dips into the high 20's, 30', seems to average 40 to 50fps with plenty of stuttering (driver 353.38).

Bloody awful optimisation, Arkham Origins looks far superior to this and that game ran very well on two 780 Ti's. The game in this condition should never have been released.

I got my code today, redeemed through the nvidia promo site to get a steam key without any problems

Same here, still waiting for my 2x 980 Ti's but I redeemed the code via the nvidia site ok.

Why on earth does it revert to DX10? I thought tesselation is only supported in DX11.

I don't think we will see it back on sale for at least a month. I'm sure WB/rocksteady will be making the PC version even better than they had originally intended and put it through some serious testing rather than re-releasing it still in a semi-broken state and making things even worse for themselves.

Rocksteady is leading our team of developers and partners as we work on the PC performance issues that players have been encountering. The work is significant and while we are making good progress on improving performance, it will take some time to ensure that we get the right fixes in place.

Below is the list of the key areas where we are dedicating our resources to improve the experience for our loyal fans:

- Support for frame rates above 30FPS in the graphics settings menu
- Fix for low resolution texture bug
- Improve overall performance and framerate hitches
- Add more options to the graphics settings menu
- Improvements to hard drive streaming and hitches
- Address full screen rendering bug on gaming laptop
- Improvements to system memory and VRAM usage
- NVIDIA SLI bug fixes
- Enabling AMD Crossfire
- NVIDIA and AMD updated drivers

While we work on improving performance, we will also continue to make interim patches available to address issues for those still playing the game on PC. The first patch is being released now and the updates include:

- Fixed a crash that was happening for some users when exiting the game
- Fixed a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion. We are actively looking into fixing other bugs to improve this further
- Corrected an issue that was causing Steam to re-download the game when verifying the integrity of the game cache through the Steam client
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when turning off Motion Blur in BmSystemSettings.ini. A future patch will enable this in the graphics settings menu

We would like to thank our fans for their patience and invaluable feedback. We will continue to monitor and listen for any additional issues.
