From a dev 37 minutes ago on STEAM

OFFICIAL ROCKSTEADY ANNOUNCEMENT HERE!
On AK forums, post by Rocksteady:

"Hi all

We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible.

We'll update this thread when we've got more info to share.

Thanks
CODA"

Got to laugh at the way they named AMD specifically when talking about performance issues.

Now that its issues with Nvidia they refer to them as "our external PC development partner"

I think what they are saying is the PC port was out sourced to a different company and rocksteady concentrated on the console versions.

If Nvidia have had nothing to do with the problems and it all lies at at the porting companies feet, Nvidia really need to start looking at these partnerships.

I assume they pay a decent fee for all the advertising that goes into these Gamesworks titels, but they end up looking like a a joke.

Gameworks is starting to be associated with buggy games. Starting to think Nvidia should take a wide birth from games. It could just be they are partnering with Lazy developers but the more this happens the more suspicion falls upon Gameworks.

Lazy development is what id have my money on. Doesn't matter who the gpu vendor is. Take bf4, AMD jumped into bed with dice. Who lets face it have a great record for shoddy broken games before AMD had anything to do with them. Took a year before the game was remotely stable. So bad they had to release a separate client, (cte) to test fixes. Bf3 was pretty much the same. Rush to get games to market has the biggest impact on quality, chuck it out the door and patch it as we go along seems to be the way now.

Batman Arkham Knight – Denuvo DRM Could be the Culprit Behind the Performance Issues on PC

They probably spent more money on DRM than on ironing out issues:rolleyes: I bet piracy wouldn't be so widespread if devs charged a fair price for their products and actually delivered on all their promises.

Well, I can't say I expected Arkham Knight to be polished anyways. Games that work at launch are a dying breed nowadays:p

This is how I see it , Nvidia gave them a wad of cash to sell with GPUs , rocksteady said "this will give us bigger margins if we outsource to the smallest team possible and take there cash then if we put effort in and sell of our own backs" ... Hit and run with gameworks being used as a a plaster . I Once a believer and defender , now turn my back on gameworks .
