TBH the amount it reduces it by, it's hardly worth putting in on there. The only security I'd mention is any alarm/immobiliser/tracker, i.e. stuff you'll always use.

The great thing about trackers is their proximity detection. Someone messes with your bike, you get an immediate text.

Having seen first hand what full loss due to theft will do to a renewal, I'm seriously thinking of getting one on my new bike too.

Apart from being bleeding cold this morning it was perfect riding conditions, I shouldn't have to even consider plugging my heated gloves in this close to May though!

**** this I'm going to fit some heated grips.

Who was it that got a Bluetooth headset recently ? Which one is the best one to get ? I want to be able to hook it up to my Satnav & Moby.

Sorry mate, should have mentioned!

Thank you for the pictures - in all honesty I don't really know what I would need to do with them. I would guess they could be re-sprayed, but the crack concerns me a little in all honesty.

No worries, as long as you are aware the crack is only on pics 1 and 3 and the bit on the 2nd pic is a cobweb

Out of question how much would you be looking for them?

I think they can be re-sprayed, and the crack could be filled in? In terms of mounting, are there any brackets, or is it a straight on screw job?

You would need to source some brackets but they fix on to standard points on the frame. Dunno about fixing the crack, maybe use fiberglass patch or fibreglass tape? (on the inside)

It's been there the whole time and not got any bigger. Once mounted it doesnt stress the crack.

I'm looking for £50 + what ever postage (they are £200 new)

I'd buy it & have a go at repairing it myself if I was russell664. The size & shape of a belly pan makes them easy to handle & work on & it'll be good fun & practise sorting it out, Build a little spray booth out of a cardboard box in the corner of your shed/garage, Get busy with the prep on a nice day out in the back yard then off to the spray booth, As long as you take your time & put loads of light barely dusting sort of coats on rather than a couple of heavy ones it'll turn out fine & don't forget it's mounted underneath the bike anyways so not right up in your face for everyone to see so you will be able to get away with it not being factory/mint.
As Mowytone said a Belly pan isn't under any stress when fitted so once on there's no reason for it to flex & crack again unless something came up & whacked it I s'pose but I've never heard of that happening so it happening is as rare as rocking horse ****. :D

Have I posted a pic of my Fazer yet ? My head memory still suxs the big one.

Where are you based?
I might go for it - I'm in Nottinghamshire. If your miles away see how much it costs to post and i'll look into it :)

EDIT: For the brackets, do you know what I need to look for?

Yeah makes sense, could get some fibreglass tapes for the crack anyway. My dad has all of the spray equipment so just need the paint and brackets.

You can have the crack plastic welded,or do it diy with a soldering iron on the inside so it's not seen

I repaired a lot of cracks that way on my cat c bike

Old fashioned Butter knife is what you want & you can get them in junk/charity shops for pence so get a few when you go in, You want the ones with the separate sort of handle the really flexible ones Heat it up on one of your cooker rings then just smooth the crack over in the same motion as spreading butter, JD.

Okay, found these brackets: http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/buy/Suzuki-SV650-Lower-Fairing-Fixing-Kit/r873-430-010.htm

Not too expensive, so would cost me just over £100 excluding postage.

Thoughts on the mounts it say 1999-20002 and mine is a K2 so makes sense in my mind...

However, I'm getting a joiner out to fix my garage door, it needs re-cladding and straightening out. I don't want to get my bike nicked because of those door - so it's dependant on how much money I have left really...
