Those blades are still one of the best looking bikes ever made imo. As a kid they were what I wanted when I grew up. Most of the other kids had Lambos and Ferraris all over their pencil cases. Not me, Fireblade all the way. Still have a very soft spot for them. Do it Paul :)

I went to have a look and a sit on one, a 1998 model, I reckon I'd fit. Didn't seem to be crazily leant forward either. I'll keep an eye out in the next few months, would need to sell my bike first though.

Thinking about a street triple for when you get your unrestricted license IC3?
Maybe earlier, my mate will be selling his A2 compatible, he doesn't ride much and will be doing his full license. If he doesn't sell it, I'll be looking at getting a Supermoto, I want something to **** around on.

Me and my mate were supposed to join some other mates and ride round Northern France for the weekend, but the weather over there looks shocking for these two days, so stayed local. Rode down to Loomies and was heading on to Bournemouth when I noticed a lot of water on my left boot.

Pulled over at a Ford Showroom just off the M3 (or A31?) and could see a fine mist of coolant being sprayed forward out of my radiator :(

Thankfully the AA mans sealant did the trick, got back to Hemel with 10 minutes to spare before closing to leave the bike with them to fix or replace. New radiator is £400 :(

Then riding home we got rained on quite heavily... very cold!

Now on a 990 Adventure which my mate jokes looks like a boat, but is really nice and comfy to ride.

Love using Sena 20S voice comms when riding with mates. Almost can't imaging riding without them now!

What happened to your rad? Stone?

What happened to your rad? Stone?

Yeah, I can only assume it was. The sealant did a great job, thank god, as I only have roadside, not recovery. Might have been looking at £150+ to get home otherwise.

Radiator guards are a necessity in the UK.

Yeah, especially on a naked. I really should have sorted one. I did on my last bike.

Were you riding behind your mate on his bike? As I think a lot the time rad damage is caused by warm sticky tyres kicking up stones onto bikes that are following a little too close.

I've done over 30k miles and a large portion of that in winter with all sorts of crap on the roads and touch wood never had any radiator damage.

I need to change the levers quickly, the clutch is angled down so I have to move my hand quite far and it's currently on number 2 on the dial yet still feels like I have to stretch quite far. Which ones are good to go for?

Nope, just changes the distance from the lever to the bar. Although I suppose having the lever closer to the bar means it will bite closer too. Cable clutch? There should be a tiny bit of lever free play.

Set the dial to where you want it then do a proper clutch adjustment to set the free play. This is a little more involved than just twiddling the free play adjuster at the lever end but you'll need to look up exactly how to do it for your bike as I only know the SV method.

Anyone know what the cables and connectors are for in the Triumph LED indicator relay kit?

I got mine today and have just replaced the old relay with the new, it dropped straight in place of the old relay, so I didn't need any of the cables

There are 2 different types of relay used, one is the normal type (yours) and the other plugs into the loom, that's what that cable is for but you don't need it.

Had an off, 40-50mph... diesel spillage. I hit the ground pretty hard, but apart from that my gear saved me the visit to the hospital. I didn't take pictures of the bike or the place, I'll cycle there tomorrow and take some. Idk whenever the diesel spilleage will be there still. But you can see and smell some diesel on my kevlar jeans. :(

Will post some pictures up in a sec... ehh
