I don't want to mess the throttle up though or the fuel mixture.

My last street triple ran rough when fitting new exhausts and taking the baffles out, i could get a power commander fitted but that's £400 for that + remap.
Join the facebook group, I've seen some selling on there for £90-120 before, you need to keep a lookout though.

You should not get any running issues from changing just the can, mine runs fine with the SC Projects can with no baffle fitted.
Did you perform the ECU adaptation reset after changing the exhaust on your old one?

Can you do that reset yourself or do you need to go to the dealer in order to get that reset?

Do you have the same one I've linked? You do don't you? Worthwhile change in noise? Didn't do that reset no, didn't know anything about it.

To reset the adaptation you have to start the bike from cold without touching the throttle and let it idle until the fan kicks in then leave it to idle for a further 12 minutes then you switch off the bike.
Wait until you hear the idle controller finish resetting (sounds like a dial up modem) before restarting the bike.

I have the S1 which looks better than the conic in my opinion but other than that they are pretty much the same. They are very loud exhausts so yeah its worthwile, i had the arrow low boy can before and the SC is way louder.

Got a CBT in a week so I can drive a moped for work and get more dolla. Got 30 hrs driving experience in a car and cycle everyday, never been on a motorbike or ped.

Any tips?

I'll give that a go if I get one, he's counter offered me £175 which against brand-new is a good price.

Don't fall off, when in doubt throttle out.
I can see it now "I'm throttling out!!!! Oh wait...I'm still not going anywhere fast...am I even moving forward?" :D

Being a cyclist means balance shouldn't be any issue and you'll already have a feel for how "bikes" steer just remember the clutch lever is not a brake like on a pedal bike :o I made that mistake a few times "I'll just hit both the brakes, oh **** now I'm just freewheeling without any clutch!!!"

Yeah I'm pleased with that price, wasn't going to buy one at all but for £140, rude not to :p

Does that ecu reset have to be done the very first time it's started up after fitting the new exhaust?

Not aware it HAS to be done. It might make the bike run lean and not feel right though

Yeah it doesn't have to be done but it will run better if you do.
The ECU is adaptive so will change fuelling using the o2 sensor so it's best to reset it to stock after making any changes so it can relearn a new adaptation.

The ECU will start to learn on the first ride and may not be perfect until the next ride.
