That's interesting. Didn't know you could force adaption like that. I wonder if it's worth doing on mine? Baffles were taken out without any tune or adaption - would it potentially run even better with adaption?

From my tech manual (exactly as scooby said)

I'll give it ago at some point.

Got my bike back today, they changed the coolant and brake fluid too, never expected that! Mot for another year too!

They pumped my tyres up to 36 psi on front and 42psi on the rear. Seems high to me?

That's what the manual recommends, but I always ran 33/36 on my bikes.
Yeah I'm a bigger bloke and always ran 33 38. Once tyre warms up, psi rise too, so running 42 on the rear, you'll be looking at near 50!?

Suppose it's a personal preference. I know a car mechanic who is into his ducati's and runs 28 on the rear as he likes the 'play' the rear has?

They also adjust themselves periodically, that process just forces it to happen immediately.

Nice, thanks :)

Got my EvoTech tail tidy today (will fit on weekend). The quality is just insane compared to R&G. Better build, better design, nothing flimsy, number plate light has 4 decent size LEDs and looks like it'll actually light the whole plate rather than a small section (has to bend my R&G tail tidy to resolve that).

The bracket for the indicators is also compatible with normal Triumph indicators (one hole for wires, one hole for screw) so a nice easy fit for the alloy LED ones. Not only that, but they also provide a slightly angled bracket if you want to fit the stock indicators, so you can have those right next to the plate, but angled up to clear the exhaust. WAY better design than what R&G provide which is a stupidly big bracket that moves the indicators out and above the exhausts which just looks ridiculous!

They even provide a proper extension bracket and holder for the rear reflector so rather than some awful little stick on round thing (R&G provide the little round ones which again are cheap, tacky and I don't really want to stick something on my plate), you can just screw this bracket thing on which extends a reflector to below your plate which not only looks better for your ride to the MOT centre, but is easily removable for your ride home :D

Sorry R&G, but I will never buy your tail tidies (or indicators) again. Maybe I'll buy your crash bungs, but then are you ripping me off on those as well? I can't believe R&G have the cheek to sell their tidy at the same price as R&G.

Looking forward to fitting this bad boy on the weekend :D

So today I decided to swap the bar ends that came with my bike for some R&g ones as I preferred them. Did the terrible bar end fine, old one off new one on no issues - easy peasy this modding malarkey me thinks - wrong!

After more convincing than initially expecting I managed to get the clutch bar end off and the blasted thing decided to take the screw thread inside the bars with it. I've managed to get the remains out but does anyone know what replacement part I'm after? It seems to be a threaded insert that goes into the bars to screw the bar ends in to. Bike is a 2006 ER6F if that helps, but I've looked at the parts website and none of the parts look like what has come out of the bar.

I noticed that the sides on my front tyres are worn out and on the legal mark, whilst the middle is fine. WTF? I ordered a new one, IDK why in my head I keep thinking that the tyre will slip out on me anytime after the crash, I'm so paranoid when a car is nearby and I'm on a roundabout. I haven't been properly out on a twisty A/B road, as riding with bent handlebars is dodgy and I always lean the bike in too much. I know the cause of the crash, yet. I've noticed I've slowed!

BTW 120/60 Pirelli Angel GT for 61quid, looking at prices that's cheaper by like 30-40 quid than some places. :)

I think that always happens after an off. Twice in 10 years I've had a bike slide out from under me and both times I feel it 'sets me back' quite a long way in confidence which in turns slows you down. You just keep riding and your confidence gradually returns, as does your pace. I also think it's good to have a healthy fear!

It's true. My lowside on a roundabout was a year on Monday and I still have problems leaning it over. Part of that is probably the winter riding and telling myself it's ok to lean it again but you arn't alone in second guessing yourself or the bike.

I have the Angel GT's on my bike, very confidence inspiring. :)
Will be taking them to France so will test them on proper roads :p

I'm over cautous if it is wet, or really cold, don't tend to lean too much at all, and control my speed a lot more too. I think being over cautious is better than not being cautious enough.

Is it rubber? That part is listed as 92092-1018.

Angel GT's are great, granted my bike only has 50bhp but there's loads of grip in the wet.

IC3 - that's just how front tyres wear, the shoulders will wear more than the centre, more so if you ride twisty roads.

In my case one side of my front was basically hitting the wear indicators while the other side was still well legal, I obviously need to start riding in circles the other way :D

Just seen the local garage Yam dealer on FB saying they've got a full set of MT and Tracer bikes ready for demos...I might pop down at lunch and see if I can sweet talk them into booking me a slot on the MT10.
