No just dry them outside, mine dried in less than a day in the sun.
Tried out the mic tucked inside my pocket under 2 layers and a sponge over the mic and still picking up wind noise and other background noise. Maybe it's just the camera, slow moving traffic and the mic is fine, upwards of 40mph and it's ****.
It won't be the camera. Getting the audio right is the toughest thing to do.
The best I ever managed was putting a Zoom H2N in a tank bag where there is a pocket of calm air. Some people have had success with a rucksack too but you need to avoid anything with any air anywhere near it (helmet, jacket pockets etc).
Tank bag + H2N sounds amazing on the Tuono V4!
I have my mic head poking out the front of my cheek pad with a standard muffler on it (stock Drift Ghost HD mic). Next to no wind noise through town and very little even on the motorway.
I did a bit of research a while ago and those grey fluffy covers are supposed to be really effective. The type you see sound engineers holding on a pole..
Dead cats.
I have a Sena as well. Don't you use the default mic on a flexible rod? I find that one the best, so you can run it from the side of the helmet and bend it up and in front of your mouth.I already have a mic though inside my helmet for my Sena headset, doubt i'd have room for another one.
