If the reviews are being delayed for any reason, please at least take consideration to inform forum members or ourselves... Theses reviews we do in forums are a way to get in touch with the community and take direct feedback. We do not set up strict guide lines to your reviews. Video, or write up. However, a timely manner is appreciated. Limited samples were allocated for OCUK and members. The limited samples allocated for you was provided because we felt confident they would come out in time.

Shash, according to your post, you felt privileged. Indeed you were. But for some people, they wouldn't want to wait a month for a review from an "adviser" There were many others who wanted this opportunity.

Edit: If the review is coming, then I guess we're saving the best for last!

I apologise for the time it has taken, but the review will be done. Contrary to what some people here may think, I do appreciate the opportunity and I'm not the sort of person who'll take advantage of generosity, so don't be too quick to judge.

It was clearly stated in the opening post that this was a give away in exchange for a review, it isn't optional. Personally if I were you xbournex, I would ask for a payment or for the product to be returned at Shashman's expense

IMO, there has been more than enough time to write a review considering Shashman received the product on the 27th July


Just my 2 cents....

jesus christ I've just had a trawl through this thread wanting to know a bit about the product and instead i'm presented with you obsessively foaming at the mouth over some guy with 0 relation to you.

To be fair though they got a free item and were asked to provide a review for it, Tealc and jeff6475 both gave reviews its not really fair to them that the other two get similar rewards for doing nothing. If the other guys are really busy then maybe they shouldn't have entered the competition in the first place.

+1 to Nexus18 for chasing it up tbh, it may have been forgotten about otherwise.

Who are we waiting for then currently? Is it just xbournex now?
 
Just Shashman, which is really strange as he seemed really excited about it when he sent me a trust message or two when he received it. Life got in the way I guess.

Maybe he's overwhelmed by the detail in the reviews already posted or something. If so then I would say that he shouldn't worry about that.

You can expect a bump every 2 weeks, so you can "direct" yourself out of this thread, if you don't like it, also look through the posts, the majority of people agree with me, not you.

Where have I posted personal insults against shashman btw? You will see that he is the one to have gone that low and posted insults against me and you are also now posting personal insults against me "very sad individual".......

Also, I am perfectly chilled out, it seems like you are the one who is foaming at the mouth over my posts.

I have just expressed how much of a disappointment it is, when ever someone is given an opportunity to do something for a world wide popular company, also bitfenix spectre pro fans were given away with the product, iirc Tealc said that he received £70 worth of equipment. So a couple of hours of your time for that is pretty damn good in return for what you receive and besides it is more just a sign of good will whenever you are chosen to receive a product for free to return the favour.


More on topic now, you are telling me that you think it is perfectly fine for a guy to not have posted a review just after 5 weeks now for a product, which he was given for free especially when you go through his posts and see what he has been doing with a bit of his time. A review, which would take a few hours to do to a decent quality, also bearing in mind that everyone who has ever received products from Bitfenix has had their products reviewed within 2 weeks and some of those products required a lot more time to review i.e. their cases. I am not disputing that he has a busy life regarding job etc. however, I find it very hard to believe that he hasn't had 2-4 hours free in the last 5 weeks to get this review done?


Anyway, the other guy honasuire or whatever his name is, got his review posted like a week or two ago (was a very good review too), just shashman now and yes that is why I keep bringing this thread back up as if I don't (anyone else is welcome to as well) then we will possibly never see the review...

Also it is quite clear that xbournex isn't too pleased about the length of time it has taken and this was 2 weeks ago and he didn't seem to appreciate it when he wasn't told why it was taking so long:

We've got Ghost coming in a few weeks. I'd like this wrapped up before we start round 4? 5? It's been quite the time gap between each one.

Got a Z9 to review tomorrow or this weekend coming up too :p
That could be one good contender for the R3 / R4, be interesting seeing how silent it actually is and whether or not the airflow is impended.
 
Yeah, I am really looking forward to it as well, silence is the most important factor for me when it comes to PC cases as my case literally sits right beside me on my desk so it has to be quiet! :p Currently have the bitfenix raider and it is virtually silent, main noise is coming from the GPU (4850) and the raider is a rather open designed case intended for maximum airflow and plus the side panels are very thin so this ghost case should be excellent regarding noise levels.


Wonder how it will compare to the corsair 550D as well?


Are you able to give us a rough price tag on the ghost case xbournex?

tl;dr It says no where in the OP about any time frames.

the fact that you've bothered to chase him around the forums and find him in other threads speaks volumes.

Mines sitting right beside my desk too, about 2 inches from my head :p
I've been looking at getting a case like the Shinobi XL or the Switch 810, for either extreme air cooling or water cooling with the idea of silence.

My review went up on the 21st of august, long before these posts complaining I am ripping off Bitfenix. I will link it here as some people obviously can't look in the right part of the forum for cooling queries and reviews.

No time limit was stated to post a review by, I didn't know it was a race. I did have issues as I lost the photos from my memory card, so had to retake them. I admit it took a little longer than I would have liked but I do have a life outside the forum. Tealc got his review up early but then through the comments started to change his opinion on the kit over time. I felt having the kit for almost a month was enough time to make an informed decision about the build quality.

Thank you to Bitfenix for donating the controller to me, it's brilliant that they offer these competitions to our forum. I did put a fair bit of time into doing the review, thank you to those who have read my review (330ish at my last count). There is still more I want to try with the controller, which I can edit in later. Although I haven't had much feed back on the review which is a little disappointing, I did confess I was more interested in the Recon too. I really enjoyed reading the other reviews. It was nice to see Jeff and I are in agreement about the same unit :)
