BMW and M Power Owners

Going to look at a 428i tomorrow. In the usual fashion, no doubt I'll call tomorrow at 9am and it will have already been sold.

I did use the chat on AT (no idea who picks these up at this time??) and was told it's still "listed" as in stock, so hopefully.

Then need to check the feasibility of a car seat and a 2.5year toddler in the 3 door...

Tbh a 3 door would be ok for us now with a similar aged small psycopath. The big doors and getting them in/out the back without making a mess would be the biggest couple of problems...albeit I don't think I'd change to a 2/3 door now unless it was something particularly special

Interesting, but they also kept the N54 in the 35i so not surprising. Any idea why they did this?
The N52 is a great engine, I have it in my 530i.

I beleive it's because it was built in the US and the US was the biggest market. The US never got the N53 engine due to sulphur levels in the fuel iirc.

The US market got N52 engined F10 as well!

Wondering if anyone with an F11 can help me out, I use the little storage area behind the drivers side rear light for cleaning products. When I went to get my window cleaner out the other day all of the wiring and computing units are all over the place. I believe BMW have done something when the car was serviced and want to try and put it right. Could anyone with an F11 grab me a few pictures of the fuse box area and the wiring gubbins behind their rear light cluster?

It doesn't have enhanced bluetooth which was an option.

This can be enabled through coding. I managed it with a £10 eBay cable and software from f30post forums. You might also be able to do it through the Carly app and a bluetooth obd dongle. There are some specialist garages that may off this service too.

Does that mean enhanced Bluetooth isn't possible via coding?

Seems like I would be fine if I had an iPhone.

Struggling to see how I'm going to get music, short of a Bluetooth aux adaptor but that gives me no control.

Edit:
From reading it seems the NBT unit doesn't need a combox for EBT. Should just be a case of coding it. @chanjy @Pen66 can you confirm?

Edit2:
This seems to confirm NBT is all you need. http://bmwspecialistreading.co.uk/b...oth-to-6ns-6nk-6nl-extended-bluetooth-coding/

I stream spotify to mine, and from the looks of the options it didn't have enhanced bluetooth. Does have the professional media package, not sure if it comes as a part of that?

I just registered my phone with iDrive and it just worked!

What car and is that Android?

On another note I can't believe I missed this on the ad...

  • M Sport suspension deletion
I had no idea when I was driving it, handled well. Not sure how I feel about this. Ride height looks the same as M Sport, but I do want a sporty drive, but not crashy.
