Brake fluid needs changing on my M135i. Enquired with BMW Williams Manchester and they quoted £99. Alternatively Darren Wood Ltd in Stockport, my indy BMW specialist quoted £45+VAT. iDrive and the BMW database in Munich will be updated, so it will show as an official service therefore not impacting warranty.

I know it's only a few quid, but for something like a brake fluid change is there any issue with going to a specialist rather than BMW? If it will cause issues further down the line, I'll just take it to BMW.

Fox - thoughts?

The price on the BMW service website is 90 quid rather than 99. I'd try and negotiate that further on the basis that the independent is 55 quid Inc vat but I personally wouldn't bother faffing with an indy for the same of 35 quid on a high value car.

Put Pagid pads on all round... what a load of crap they are! The car itself is crying for bigger breaks and this has just made things worse. I don't know why I thought they'd perform the same as OEM. grrr!

Question about idrive. I've had my e92 M3 for approx 6 weeks and the brake fluid is showing as due this month. I only get to that screen as i'm in vehicle status, should it popup thats its due or is the onus on me to check every so often? Also whats the going rate about £95?

Cheers

I paid £71 in rip off Oxford for an F10 so would have thought it wouldn’t be much more

It should pop up when you turn the car on and say "Service".

Think people pay around £80 for brake fluid from a main dealer and about half of that from an independent.

Ok, so should i just wait until it tells me (as apposed to hunting through menus?). I'm still getting to grips with it all, can i go independant and it not void the auc warranty?

Hi

I'm 8 weeks into 2015 F10 530D ownership.. 1 minor gripe is the DAB radio regularly loses signal on my commute, my 2012 Mondeo DAB was always perfect on the same route, never dropped out. Is there anything I can do about that ? Not found any option in idrive to retune it or anything

Thanks
