BMW and M Power Owners

Plus Pack adds bigger wheels, massive brakes and allows you to order it in blue which is an M Sport Plus exclusive colour.

Personally I would avoid the Plus Pack as nothing there really enhances the car, shame about the colour thing though.

The equivalent A4 will be along in three years time as the 3 series is a totally fresh model and the A4 came out to compete with the old 3 series...

Cheers. Glad you replied! I didn't actually realise the 3 series is a totally fresh model. I've always preferred the interior of Audis and was leaning towards them however a friend has just taken delivery of a new 3 series and was singing its plaudits. Difference in price between the two is negligible but the 3 series may be the front running due to the freshness of it.

I've just reserved a mineral grey 320d M Sport auto with tech pack. Looking forward to hopefully buying it on Wednesday!

S55 Engine bay cleaned up a little so a quick phone video of it because lockdown boredom and can't really drive it anywhere (Scotland still in full lockdown mode)

Disclaimer - It's got Carbon stuff I'm aware of the hate, and it's a video with music 99% of OCUK will say is just bad bad noise, so more hate.

2 months and 2500 miles with the puddle jumper F40

Really warmed up to it and it certainly doesn’t feel as hard as it did when it arrived.

the 3 pot makes a hilariously gruff sound especially as you close in on the limiteramd it handles superbly when you drive it with a bit of enthusiasm

Still haven’t washed it though

Like the styling of the current 1er, I just can't get my head around how they had the cheek to call it an F40. - A bit like Tesco branding their own brand blended scotch with the same name as a decades matured single malt......

I really wasn’t sure about it at first either and my first impressions were that it’s a bit of a tarts handbag but once you look past the shiny trinkets there’s definitely a good car there

Mine with another 50hp would be perfect

They have not branded it as an F40, it's branded 1 Series. The F40 is an internal product destination code not a brand.

What is unusual is that it's an F series rather than G

Trying to check out how much the extended warranty will be (dealer AUC warranty expires this month) and the site is asking me for a pin and login details from my invitation letter. I haven't received anything yet though. Does the letter arrive on time, or should I call and do it over the phone? Is it worth haggling?

Okay thanks. I'll wait for a few more days. When I last checked 2 weeks ago it said something along the lines of 'can't give you a quote, you've still got warranty', so letter might be in the mail.

You know what I mean, you'd have thought even the Germans wouldn't have gone near that hallowed name, product destination code or not.

But yes why F not G makes no sense at all.

It’s on an F platform because it shares its underpinnings with the Clubman.

I still can't get used to the massive grills. Have a few poverty spec 118i and one m135i in the hospital carpark where I work, so I've had a good walk round them.
I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder...

Ah, ok, that makes sense!

Yeah, in all honesty, I blank them out.....

5 series LCI announced.

That's the next car sorted :D

looks nice, V8 and 6 cylinder PHEV. I see they have dropped the 6GC aswell. The Countryman has had its LCI too.

Some other have delayed facelifts to avoid ended up with loads of unsold previous stock. Interesting it hasn’t slowed the BMW product release.
