BMW and M Power Owners

Wow, £40k for a 2020 car with over 30k miles.

Also, black on black on black :(
Allegedly 30k, but who knows.
Colour is better than white, but black is my next least preferred choice.
Struggling to see any better deals. BMW main dealers are out as they can only offer a poor trade in price (as they would have to put my car to auction)

Sell car separately. £40k is mad.

Also the wrong time to buy. If there isn’t anything wrong with your car wait until finance rates drop in a year to 18 months.

Don't forget the touring models are more expensive (and harder to find).

Yeah I understand but even so, it’s big money for a 3 year old 3 series.

This is better value and has decent options on it.

I'd try and stick to the main dealer network if you can. Have you had a few PX quotes from them? They're usually reasonably fair with trade in prices to get a deal done. I can't see a small independent dealer offering a lot more.

If it’s a 335d then depending on age it might not be a car they can sell approved used, hence the lower value for trade in - they need to auction it off.

When I was looking at trading in my 320d BMW offered about £9k and I sold it for £14k privately.

Yes that's most likely the case, but it's doubtful any other garage is going to offer much more either.

Everyone just goes off the stupid BCA system and you have to negotiate from there, unless you sell it privately of course.

He won’t get anywhere near private but you’ll usually find an independent or non-main dealer may be willing to negotiate the total package price more.

I saw that one.
Doesn't have electric seats with memory. Must have for me as my partner uses the car too.

Fair enough. I swap cars with various family members all the time, some of which have memory seats but most don't. After a while, you learn the exact position anyway - the memory is just in my head instead of a computer :P

It's exactly as MrRockliffe said - if the main dealer isn't going to sell it and will auction it on, you're better off selling with Motorway.
My car is 2014 and 87k miles. BMW approved trade in is £8k and they have very little (or no) movement on the screen price.
I can get much nearer £13k with a dealer that would re-sell the car.

Really? Me and the mrs share the M340i and it doesn't have electric memory seats, really isn't a big deal.

If it was just a matter of sliding the seat 3 inches, that would be fine.
However, there's quite a bit of difference in height between us, which means you have to adjust it across 3 points.
