BMW and M Power Owners

Question for any F10 specialists.

My F10 LCI 530D has started to feel unstable at high speed. On the motorway if you hit a bump or a catseye it randomly feels like it pulls to one side. Almost feels like you are aquaplaning. If road surface is smooth it drives straight.

I have replaced the Front axle lower control arms and the front track control arms (ball joints on these were shot and rubber bushings cracked). I have had front wheels rebalanced and tracking/wheel alignment checked. During this they said track rods were fine.

I don't really want to take it to BMW and the local specialist I have used in the past I have no confidence in. Thought I would ask here incase anyone has any XP with something similar.

That audi one... was nothing to do with the Ghost. Was the steering rack.

The ghost was the scapegoat that Audi tried to use.
you're not wrong, it was indeed nothing to do with the ghost.
however, the point is that you'd invalidate the warranty as soon as you install something non-oem, as you rightly said, they'll use it as a scapegoat for anything else that happens
would i personally want to risk a brand new x5 50e? not a hell's chance lol

Have you had a direct experience of your warranty being invalidated by fitting a ghost immobiliser? I would think that maybe if an electrical fault occurred after it was installed then a dealership might chance their luck. However thousands of dashcams have been fitted without any warranty issues.
I can understand that a ghost immobiliser install is more 'intrusive' than a dashcam is however the ghost is hardly a band aid setup and has been around, with insurance approval, for quite sometime.

My 420i (21 plate) has suddenly started making a double gong sound when starting the car or when it comes out of the start/stop.

I am sure it has something to do with the auto hold/handbrake, the sound is coming from the centre console/armrest area.
Anyone else have this?

Thanks

i haven't and wouldn't want to take the chance
it will be fine for that 99.9% of installs, but i really don't want to be that 0.1% where something electric goes wrong after and the ghost gets blamed (rightly or wrongly) and the warranty gets invalidated
