BMW and M Power Owners

The X6 runs on 20" run-flats?! Is that even comfy? CS5's may be a decent option?

Never been a big Alpina fan simply because of their style of alloys, they just don't look nice.

CS5's - shall check 'em out.

And yeah, 20" runflats lol. :s

I can't seem to find a good 991 without paying silly money so I have been thinking about a Z4 35i, BMW are offering a brand new 35is for £32k however I would rather buy used as I will only keep it 6 to 10 months.

However used prices seem to be a little high at £25 to £28k for a Si or £22k for a low milage 3 year old non Si.

Has anyone seen any good ones going?

This seems good value but I dont know how I feel about a car with 60k miles on it.

60k is nothing, but will mean a 3rd party warranty.

If the price is decent for the car then it wouldn't bother me, but down to personal preference I guess.

As fox says as its under 60k I can put the warranty on a monthly payment but I have never owned a car with so many miles so was concerned it will feel old and tired.

My own E93 has just over 60k miles on it but we bought it with 20k and it does feel tired however its a 07 car.

That Alpina B4 is so much more desirable (to me) than the M4. Like a hundred times more, just look at it, its beautiful!!

Old and tired in regards to how the mechanics feel is generally down to how well the car has been maintained as opposed to a specific mileage so can be hit or miss which is where a test drive will help you decide.

I've not bought a car above 60k (apart from my e34 which was 120k) but have taken a few way beyond 60k, my e46 has just hit 100k and a couple of things needed replacing around this mark but now it's back to feeling awesome again. My Dad's Volvo S80 felt strong beyond 200k but I suppose it's hard to tell when you're the owner as you may not notice a gradual decline.

Either way I wouldn't dismiss one on this mileage alone :)

Yep, I was more thinking about shaggy leather, suff marks, shiny plastics .... but as you say its down to the individual car and I should take a look.

I bought a golf with 30k on the clock but the interior is really bad and it feels like a car with twice that.

Its 7 years old with 60k on the clock! - how on earth can it possibly be tired??

Sounds more like something isn't right with it tbh if anything at that age and mileage I'd expect it to feel a lot livelier than when you first got it.

A cliche I know, but it's barely run in!

Drove a 13 plate vehicle yesterday with 70k on the clock, this morning I'm in an 11plate with 325k on the clock and it drives no differently, if anything it feels stronger despite having the same engine / power rating...

Typically I'm referring to trucks here, but, as NVP implies, these are meticulously maintained and it makes me wonder if your car is poorly but you've not perhaps noticed it?

Edit: just seen your reply, fair do's.

Even so, I'm a little surprised it's looking tired inside I guess the e93 isn't as well built compared to earlier models? I recall my old e36 318 had 125k on the clock when I bought it, yes it had a shiny gear knob & steering wheel but other than that, the interior was like new....

Poked around in an X4 yesterday.

Please to say the car is pretty naff and the interior mirror shroud is particularly impressive a VHS tape offers a more premium plastic. :P

What have I always said about E9x interiors?

Gone are the E46 days of the 3 series.

Yes the engine it self is as good as new, its more the seats, the plastic and carpets all look like they have done 60k miles. I never keep a car for so long and most my other cars have under 30k on them so maybe my view of is a little distorted.

I do agree the E9x interiors are not all that special. The 6 GC has such a amazing interior its almost shameful what the have done in the new 3 series. I know its a completely different car but they could have done a much better job on the 2014 3 and 4 series.

I will keep a eye out for a good Z4 something will come up.

What does the X4 give you over a 3-series?

Not really the same sgement is it? Its essentially another step from the 3 saloon to the 3GT then to the X4.

Slightly less boot space than the X3 currently offers, same dull interior with questionable material selection and a pretty crummy rear seat comfort. The centre squab even places it more of a 4+1 than a geniuine 5 seater in my opinion.
