BMW and M Power Owners

A wrap would be better - plastidip looks more like the rubberised interior trim you get in terms of finish. You'd also need a good few cans so it'd end up costing a reasonable sum (maybe half the cost of getting it painted)

Had a quick drive of an E82 125i yesterday evening and have to say I really liked it. Good feedback, felt planted and small, didn't feel any slower than my 330 (didn't get to properly boot it though) and the standard 6 speed auto was quite agreeable. Can these be flashed with the alpina software like the E92 335i?

I've driven one quite a lot recently, feels pretty much exactly the same as the e46 to me in terms of overall power and not a massive amount less space either. Feels a bit more point and go tha. The e46 but tbh i suspect most of that is just down to how much newer the cars suspension is.

Can't answer your question on the box but I think a manual suits the little 1 better anyway tbh

You can also remap the 125i very easily because it uses the same engine as the 130i.

I really like the very simple modifications this guy has made - the only change from OEM there is a lip spoiler and painting of the lower part of the existing bumper in matte black.

Could I achieve that with Plastidip? or is that a gloss painted finish do you reckon?

This looks OEM to me apart from the roof spoiler, boggo matte black diffuser (I would colour code it)

The dyno on page 6 of that thread shows it I guess - though I don't actually like the look of that map, it's a big 6 it should be nice and smooth as per the original curve

The evolve curves look much better - though its a bit odd how their standard power curves look so different to the p torque example.

Irrelevant anyway really, but the Evolve is much more like I'd expect the curve of a 3 litre 6 to look

I'm pretty tempted to trade up from my trusty E39 530i Sport and I've got my eye on a BMW M3 CS.

Anyone know if these have pretty much bottomed out price wise? Are they really that much better than the standard M3 once you overlook the exclusivity value?

They pretty much are a standard M3 with a bit more tat?

Wouldn't call it a trade up though - it's a sideways move really (Would be a downgrade if it wasn't for the fact it was an M to make up for the step down to a 3 Series).

Isn't it better to wait until you can leap forward a generation?

Would only buy one if your going to track it, even then the bigger brakes are pants, quicker steering rack. CS may hold value slightly better than the standard one. Interlagos is a lovely colour though.

That would be because other than the roof spoiler and black diffuser it *is* OEM.

It's colour coded as standard.

I have no idea which part you were referring to then about the car lol

It looks better with black diffuser though as do all BMW rears with one. It sets the masculine lines off nicely whereas colour coded just looks one piece and there's nothing to set off the nice lines.
