BMW and M Power Owners

Good move removing the spoiler - you sure you're going to be able to deal with the reduction in downforce?

They're all nice little jobs to do, on your list - they don't cost much, don't take long but make a world of different.

If you wanted to get rid of those depo's - someone will take them off your hands for some ridiculous price i reckon. Have you checked the exhaust clamps? They often need doing. Then just the standard E46 stuff - rust on arches, FCAB, RTAB etc

The spoiler was so nasty, the colour match was a joke. I've written all the things down in a list, now just need to put them into priority. Unfortunately nothing will happen this weekend as I'm going away, but might try and get a couple of things done like fixing the lumbar support. From googling I think it may be a snapped wire. The exhaust clamps made it onto the list yesterday as they are rotten. I'm not spending the £100 odd that most people on cutters are doing though. Crazy money for clamps.
The guy who sold it to me gave me the old indicators in a bag, so I thought I could swap them out, but when I got home I looked in the bag and it's another set of depos

My mate just bought an E92 M3 - I was suitably happy for him, until he told me it was 40 grand. WHY!!!!!! 'low miles' *sighs*

I don't get why people do this. It's nothing like a 40k car anymore, it's a 10 year old design. The 20k ones are virtually identical so what do people think they get for 20 grand more?

Beats me! The only thing is if you badly want DCT you need a 2009+ model but those can be found for mid to high twenties.

2008 models have the DCT gearbox and you can pick them up for low 20's now.
A well specced 2008 DCT coupe would be my choice if I were buying another. It's easy to upgrade to CIC and that is really the only major difference in the later models. Oh and some LED lights if you're really that bothered.

I thought the same - but I bought a set. Having looked into it quite a lot, there did not seem to be any other viable way of doing it. Some people use cheap Peugeot clamps - which fail soon afterwards. Other people have tried things which fail soon afterwards. And due to the design, BMW clamps are off the list, so it was inevitable that I would have to buy those ones. £120 hurt but I can confirm that they are at least VERY good quality and well made so at least they'll do the job and I'll never need to think about doing it again.

:p Jesus, what is it with people and Depo ****?

Incredibly well specified car - LED lights are ultra rare - but do you really want to spend £28,000 on a car with no warranty and no way of getting that warranty without paying the considerably higher over 60k mile rate?

I'd be tempted to spend a couple of grand more one one of the several similarly aged cars with half the miles that various BMW dealers have. Probably won't have as much kit but the standard spec on the 6 is incredibly generous anyway.

The pre LCI coupes have LED lights too at the rear.

Have the shrunk the 1 series in size in the facelift as i test drove the new 125d it felt very cramped even sitting in the front, after I took a 235i out and the extra room does make a difference i know its a bigger car but i have a new shape Audi A3 at the moment and that's feels like a fair bit bigger inside that the 1 series was. Hence why i ordered a 2 series.

Falmouth (Cornwall) Ocean great garage the business team are excellent with the service they give out.
