BMW and M Power Owners

The PRINS system is generally pretty good. I would ask if they can say who installed it, and google them too for piece of mind.

I would certainly consider an LPG installation a plus point rather than a negative. Although I can see why people would think seeing it on an M3 would be not with keeping of the cars intention.

My nephew and I are going to Sheffield on thursday to pick up a 2011 Z4.

I'm looking very forward to driving it back to London. He's a lucky bugger @ 25yo.

Got round to getting some decent snaps yesterday. The sound when you give it the beans with the top down is just lovely.

Just a couple mods planned. A little lowering and 15mm spacers on the rear.

Hi chaps.

I recently bought a brand new BMW 1 series (facelifted one) and because of a online youtube review that said (all models come standard with sat nav - may have been carbuyer or telegraph cars) I didn't opt for the BMW professional Navigation option (I thought maybe this was just an upgrade to the screen size and touchpad).

Now having had the car it definitely feels like it's missing something... The bigger screen and touchpad would be a lot better too. I spoke to the salesman after and he said they're not really designed to be retrofitted.

I was wondering if I bought this unit:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-1-ser...191?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f4fbd087f

And paid someone to fit it - would it interfere with the cars warranty or anything like that? And will the system be the same as if I got it from BMW? (says genuine BMW part).

Thanks.

Did you not ask the sales man this before spending so much on a brand new car?

If he gave you bad advice kick up a fuss

You picked options on a brand new car based on a random YouTube video!? The brochure clearly explains the difference between navigation options.

You can't just fit a new screen sadly, you need other bits as well and frankly it will be a disaster warranty wise on a new car.

Dr House did you take it back and demand they apply paint to the wing mirrors? Because they seemed to have forgotten, or acquired a sudden case of The Audis :p

Im guessing the video said, all models come with iDrive, and you assumed it was Nav.

Looking to get a new set of wheels in the next few months. I spent a month in a brand new Ford Mustang crossing the United States last month and fell in love with it. I'm looking to get something with a similar feel but for significantly less money, so after much back and forth I've started to really strongly favour a used Z4.

Does anyone have any advice for picking up a used Z4 E85 model circa 03, 04, 05?

Any particular things to watch out for, mileage hurdles that tend to hurt etc.

Cheers

EDIT: Has anyone else noticed that if you search this forum for "Z4" it returns no results, weird!
