Boeing 777 shot down

I'm thinking this has occurred because they want the public to forget about what's going on in Palestine. Yes I just went there.

19:00: A tweet (in Russian) from a key Twitter account used by pro-Russian separatists, in which they claim to have captured a Buk surface-to-air missile system, has now been deleted, BBC Monitoring observes. Ukrainians say the Malaysian plane could have been downed with a Buk, but pro-Russian rebels have now denied they have it.

What an insultingly annoying thing to say.

The idea that the public would forget about what's going on in Palestine because of a single plane crash is surpassed in terms of lunacy only by the concept that somebody would down an airliner in order that people would forget about Palestine.

Why is everyone jumping to conclusions that it was Russia that shot it down?
Ukraine Air Traffic control were the first to announce it. They'd been tracking it when it disappeared. They knew what it was and wouldn't shoot it down.

Plus, the BUK equipment to get a plane down from 33,000feet isn't the same as the should launched stuff that your average jihad terrorist has. This is serious equipment.

It was a scheduled flight from Amsterdam Schipol to KL, it will have had hundreds of Europeans on board many of whom will have been connecting for onward travel to Australia.

This is very much more than something just affecting Malaysia.

Agreed.

Then the posts magically disappear after the news breaks it was a commercial passenger airliner.

Funny that. I'm sure we will get some answers soon enough, hopefully some sat imagery can illuminate the situation some.
Yep. Donetsk People's Republic were claiming that they'd shot it down, and then backtracked now the news says it's a passenger jet.

is it possible for an outside source to change the squak? thing or to turn it off? or make the plane appear not to be a passenger plane?
