Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

Couple more hours of playtime and very glad I didn't play Borderlands 1 recently as this is starting to feel far too familiar even though I last played the original about 12 months ago. It's still good fun but the weapons, enemies, bounty board, vehicles, etc are nearly identical (so far).

Was there text chat on BL1 for PC? Only played it on Xbox.

If not, is there voice chat incorporated within the game? Or do we need, Vent/TS3/Mumble?

My thoughts too.

The SP is getting boring very quickly, I knew I should have avoided the pre-order hype!

That said I'm sure co-op will help redeem it.

Apparently you can get as many gold keys as you want, not tried but from messages on gamefaqs it seems to work

Close BL2, and steam completely.

Go to:

C:\Program File (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Borderlands 2\DLC\POPremierClub\Lic

Or wherever you have it installed.

Then open file: WillowDLC

Yes there was text chat and voice chat in the original BL. There is also voice chat in BL2, but not sure about text chat. I would have thought that there still would be the option to chat via text in the new game.

Good job I've just completed two back-to-back playthroughs of the first game this past 2 weeks then isn't it :p

I was the same, really enjoyed the first game to start but after the shine wore off it got very bland and tedious... and BD2 isn't pretending to be anything other than more Borderlands!

jiggery pokery

Surely that aint right and a big over sight from the devs or whatever to leave that there - i wonder if they will patch it so its hidden or whatever, no idea if that works or not as i dont want to change it and find out.

Well it is, reviewers are saying its improved a lot, more immersive storyline etc, but im not so sure.
Im fed up with falling for the hype and wasting money.
Im not giving up hope that one day a truly original exciting game might emerge, but im not holding my breath.

Id like to see a really top quality corridor Doom type shooter again, im a bit tired of all this fee roaming stuff.
No game has made me jump or been more immersive since Doom 3.

Borderlands 2 is great. I played the **** outta the first one and more Borderlands is not a bad thing, better graphics, better weapons, the humor is great and did I mention guns... lots of guns!

Well an exciting game to you, may not be an exciting game to others.

The original Borderlands was a very original and exciting game in my opinion, and if this is more of the same then that can't be a bad thing for me.

id say this bl is best played with friends

playing any single player is tedious . co op is what brings this too life.

would i buy for single player = no
co op helllll yeah :D
