BRINK

Does anyone know if it has headshots? Also if there are sniper rifles?

I read in a preview that the designers have made the game so that "snipers will be frustrated" which probably means there are no open spaces and the fact that people can parkour up to you and clonk you quite easily might make the class redundant. (If there is a sniper class.)

Can someone tell me why I should excited about this?

Im not trying to sound facetious but I feel I should be looking forward to this but nothing has really grabbed me so far. The maps look a bit dull and the combat does not look like anything new or interesting.

It seems like someone dropped borderlands, team fortress 2, mirrors edge and fallout 3 in a blender, poured it in a glass and sprinkled call of duty on top.

Again, that should not really be a bad thing, but I just cant seem to find a reason to part with money for it.

Anyone? Have I missed something?...

What does that even mean?

it basically means brink is a pure fps console game from what you see in the videos.

people on pc raged hard about bops then say whoo hoo this looks good . you can tell from movement gameplay its meant to be played on a joypad .

short close action with no real aiming in other words quick silly joypad sweeps for the masses.

Game played on a console with a joypad in looking like game played on a console with a joy pad shocker!!!

In all honesty the parkour/free running seen in BRINK barely seems to be that much better than the stuff you can pull off in Crysis 2.

The graphics are far worse and the maps do not look as good. Unfortunately the gun combat is looking equally meh.

I still have it on pre-order but really would like to hear that the game play is amazing come Tuesday :)

Oh dear, gameplay looks bad. The AI on the enemy looks dire unless it's on 'extremely easy' mode. You need to re-load every 10 seconds which will get old quickly. You don't seem to take any damage and grenades didn't seem to be effective at all. Not impressed, glad I didn't pre-order. Also when defending that one spot, the enemy only came from one direction which seems a bit boring. Need to see more before buying.

1. It is easy mode
2. They're using default weapons without any attachments customisation, you can get bigger clips, more damage etc later in the game when you unlock them
3. Grenades aren't made to do damage, they're in this game to knock enemies down

It's mostly medium range, and yes you do need to aim, hence the terribad people and videos which are plastered everywhere of people who can't aim, there's a guy who can aim which I posted a video of on the page before and the game looks much better/fun from his PoV than the other videos.

All video and gameplay footage you see on the internet is the game being played on either PS3 or 360.

No journalists or the public have yet played this with a keyboard and mouse.
