Probably going to get this on PC, give it a chance.
Ah, and I was thinking they'd send me the key so I can pre-load.
1. It is easy mode
2. They're using default weapons without any attachments customisation, you can get bigger clips, more damage etc later in the game when you unlock them
3. Grenades aren't made to do damage, they're in this game to knock enemies down
Oh dear, gameplay looks bad. The AI on the enemy looks dire unless it's on 'extremely easy' mode. You need to re-load every 10 seconds which will get old quickly. You don't seem to take any damage and grenades didn't seem to be effective at all. Not impressed, glad I didn't pre-order. Also when defending that one spot, the enemy only came from one direction which seems a bit boring. Need to see more before buying.
If Brink is anything like Enemy Territory or Quake Wars then it will be a multiplayer-only game. The SP campaign is just multiplayer with bots so don't expect too much from it.

Is there anyone doing a worthwhile preorder bonus for this or should I just get it as cheap as I can?
Also is this a steamworks game and it activates on steam if you get the retail?
Just read that for the launch party in the US, Splash Damage have invited Pro Quake players in to show the game off.
Promising stuff
it basically means brink is a pure fps console game from what you see in the videos.
people on pc raged hard about bops then say whoo hoo this looks good . you can tell from movement gameplay its meant to be played on a joypad .
short close action with no real aiming in other words quick silly joypad sweeps for the masses.
Don't you think it's a bit early to condem the game, especially as all we've seen is combat vs bots?
One thing lacking in fps these days is proper objective based gameplay. I'm not talking about capture the flag, or destroy the cp, but objectives that invole building bridges, blowing up walls, escorting vehicles, protecting spawn points, stealing documents etc all in one map. This was always a strong point in RTCW and ET and i'm hoping it'll be the same in Brink.
Does anyone know if it has headshots? Also if there are sniper rifles?
