Sorry I'm not paying much attention to the thread but why has someone come to the conclusion that brink will be riddled with cheats because fear combat is like that?

I dont get the connection.

I am not sure about this game. Oddly at 1st it was the single player that interested me with a interesting setting and stylised visuals (loved borderland visuals). But from what I gather you seem to be doing MP style objective with a group of Bots? That does not really float my boat. But the MP is looking pretty good. I am 32 so probably don't have the reactions I used to when I played CS and other twitch games like quake so a bit worried I might struggle (still generally top servers on MW2 and BOPs which needs a good aim but things don't really move that fast in those games.

For me I have been interesed in this in ages but will have to wait for reviews and player feedback, I hope it rocks.

Yeah, Brink's being sold as being single player, co-op and multi, but really it's all multiplayer with some nice extras.

For those waiting for reviews, Eurogamer's will be up tomorrow morning and I think they are really good about reviewing games, so depending on their verdict I will either keep or cancel my pre-order.

Can someone give me a straight answer to what the **** this game is using? I've heard Steamworks, the steam store page says nothing of the sort. I checked Amazon, its got a bleeding GFW strip at the top of the box but again no mention of it.

Honestly though the bit that confuses me most...

Aye, confusing. Also annoying how when going to the D2D website it says Brink "Pre-load now". Yet upon purchase we can't get our CD keys, therefore.. we can't pre-load. False advertising or what?

If it's steam then what difference does it make, they could give us the keys a week early. It wouldn't make a difference because if it is infact a steam game we will have to wait for steam to unlock it before we can play.

Annoys me because I purchased it thinking I could pre-load like everyone else who ordered the game from steam. I can't help but think we are not going to get our CD keys until 1/2 hours before release.

i've also ordered from D2D as i wanted teh psycho kit and was 8 quid cheaper so bought another copy off BFBC2 off steam lol

I actually watch Brink videos and think the running feels sluggish and slow, as does the parkour. I would actually prefer it to be faster.

Depends what body type they're using to if it's "Sluggish".

All depends on whether it plays like a sluggish, clunky console port or a slick and fast paced PC FPS.
