My favourite MP game of all time.
Didn't you know? games need 90+ scores to be good, lower than that and they aren'tUm... 2 negative reviews out of 16? Talk about high standards!!
But yeah, nothing wrong with 7's and 8's!. Plus, the comments in the reviews I find are more important than the score itself, as they highlight the good and bad points properly. The game obviously has some downsides as highlighted in the reviews (and seen by the scores) but the general concensus seems to be that it is a fun game.
think its more to do with people not trusting games reviewers cause of obvious backhanders or exclusive footage deals they get for good reviews of certain items.
also the lack of good games recently or let down of high hoped games which turned out to be garbage has put people to wary status on all games.
i am one of these people myself
look at games like moh was scored pretty well lasted about a month online .
some people want to invest in a new game but really want a mp fps that is new and fresh and will bring about the greatness of something like cs or cod 4 for eg
while people have these great games to play why should they change to a lesser worse product ?
the only reason is bordem on there old favs. this is exactly why i look to this game.

Looks like it has the same problem as all other id Tech 4 engine games, movement feels sluggish and not very smooth. It seems all tech4 games are doomed to failure.
Even if reviews are wrong, plenty of players rely on them and will avoid buying the game. MP games like Quake Wars and Brink are nothing without real players since the SP aspect is just MP + bots and that's not fun at all in a co-operative objective-based game.

IGN got it right by saying 'Lasting Appeal - Maxing out a character in a matter of days is just too quick. While you can adjust your skills, the repetition of objectives and the fight don’t make this a game you can really hang on to.

Take a gander - plenty of good and mixed reviews - better selection that above..
8/10 is generous for this. Its a TF2 clone with the SMART thing as a gimmick which you dont really need to use. The maps are too small and your forced to stck together as squads because of it. Might rent it.
