BRINK

Yeah all classes use the same equipment and it doesn't seem possible to change body type mid-game which is a tad stupid (on a gameplay level).

Just make sure you complete all the 2-star challenges for the unlocks. Really just a case of finding what feels the best, which here seems to be SMGs and pistols with a light body type.

All classes can use the same guns though how heavy a gun you can carry is dependant on your body type.
For example, light body type can carry an smg or a rifle and only a pistol as their secondary whereas a medium body type could carry an assault rifle and an smg for their secondary as they can cope with the extra weight.
Heavies can carry the big guns.

Play as a light body type, the lack of health is more that made up for by your increased agility. Use the carb or kross smg's. For your second weapon, the machine pistol is probably the easiest to handle but I've moved on to the ceaser/ritchie pistol and it is a beast, with the red dot sight you can use it as a sniper rifle from a distance :o

Go for objectives and help your team mates. Don't treat the game as team deathmatch. I have seen people doing this and they may as well not be playing :D Either be the class that's needed for the objective and go for it or be a support class and support the person who is going for the objective.

Obviously you'll find your own ideal body type and weapons through experimenting but that should get you going :D

The Ritchie is awesome if you get a moment to line up the shot. Fairly accurate from hipfire too at mid-range, giving it a moment between shots and it can do a fair bit of damage.

I really should try out the other pistols though. Only used that and the MP.

Saw some of the console players on the splash damage forum crying about the graphics and thought they were just QQing as usual because they have to play with low res textures and 720p - which is partly the case - but they were also asking what had happened to the graphics between pre-release videos and the game that we're playing and one of them linked a video. I have to say, they have a point lol, the game looks nothing like this video shows. It shows graphics that challenge crysis, the actual game does nothing of the sort.

I played this not too long ago on my friends 360 and it really doesn't look anything like the videos posted. I wonder if the videos were played using a 360 pad on a PC?

Never mind the graphics.

What the **** happened to the ability to change between certain loadouts instead of being stuck with the same body type all the time and having to choose your damn load-outs manually.

I can tell you now that the videos are definitely NOT from a PC running ATi hardware.

wow a early build from 2009 looks better than the final product, hope they patch in some visual goodies and some hud options, looks way better without all the text and numbers on the screen

Just had a good play on this after 2/3 days. I have to say, it's much smoother than it was previously.. have they rolled out some new server clients or something?

I am getting garbled letters also. Usually is okay for a while then happens. Thought my GPU was overheating at first :D

Regarding the graphics, it's a shame the distinction between medium and high is SO large. Even at medium some of the textures look worse than stuff from Half Life 1, genuinely worse.

I remember seeing that trailer and thinking I HAVE to get this game since it seemed to finally be raising the bar for game graphics. Shame they didn't release that game.
