BRINK

Also getting the garbled text.. glad i'm not the only one! :D

Currently playing as a heavy engineer with one of the LMG's (dont know the names of the guns yet).. haven't played much yet so dont know the maps well enough to make use of the light class, hopefully there are enough sneaky routes through the map to make use of it

Patch out next week to tackle lag and: "Meanwhile, a PC update - also set to arrive next week - will additionally tackle sound and graphics issues and make server browser improvements. "

This game really is flopping. Peak of 6300 players, down over 500 from a couple of days ago. 2500 online atm and the only ****ing game I can connect to is a 5v5 that some retarded admin left at 16 players.

Haven't played this for ages, have they addressed the ATI issues yet?

(YES, I know there are some of you with ATI cards running fine, but there are others with problems)

Sounds like the game is dying, which is a shame because the concept is good. Sadly this will only reinforce the opinion that consumers want COD replicas. All I can say is ignore all the marketing for games as publishers know if they market the game right and create hype it will sell despite being a poor end product. The only opinions I value are from the gamers themselves and unfortunately the majority of releases on PC aren't fit for purpose.

Yeah. I feel bad about my Terraria addiction but when I have jumped back into Brink I generally just see a giant list of empty servers :/

As others have posted...

Just kidding. From what I read above there's a patch due out quite soon.

Its currently unplayable for a few people, wait for the patch to roll back in and there will be an influx of people. Apparently patch is going to be rolled out soon.

Yes yes I am quite an optimist.

Doesn't help that it removes all full servers from the server browser without asking. All you get to see is a list of about 5 servers playing Vs with more than 8 people on it.

The god awful balance of maps is starting to get tiresome too. It just seems whoever is on offence has to be playing a really bad team or its just impossible to win. Just been doing the 1 with the missile as Security, its so hopeless. Sure there are probably some routes I've not found yet that might help but its so easy to dig in. Mines get layed in seconds, turrets get placed in seconds, defence takes a fraction of the time to get back to the frontline.

Ah, awesome :/ I didn't know that.

I'm sure it was mentioned in the update log that they plan to stop it doing that or give it the option.

You'd kinda hope thats whats happening. There are 2600 people playing so there should be more than 10 games :p

Terreria has a lot of players, peak of over 30,000.

Even though I enjoyed the ETQW beta, dwindling players numbers soon after release contributed to me not buying it. Looks like the same thing is happenning to Brink, which is a shame.

Hmm guess I've been lucky then, I am quite happy with maps, espeically I am happy how they made a lot of light-body specific paths and strategical places to flank. Really am liking the maps.

Rarely have once sided games, it always comes to to either just making it or losing nearly reaching the end.

Either you've only played 1 game or you've just not noticed...

Rounds like the crashed chopper. Security regularly reaches the final objective (hacking the gate controls) but it takes a poor team on defence to get even close to actually succeeding. Resistance starts right next to it and all progress can be undone.

18 hours played so far 90% of that multilayer. I sometimes get into stagnant situations but not so that they take up the whole round. They sometimes can last quite long but then we break the line at the end.

Then you are playing very different games to the ones I am. There is the odd game that ends well with 1 side managing to push through eventually or being held off narrowly but the vast majority of games is just 1 team dominating the other. Defence just gets the easier job.

I'm not surprised the player numbers aren't good. The games been out for over a week and still people are unable to buy it from steam.

Beyond a joke, the longer they leave it the more people will loose interest.
