BRINK

Haha, what a 'brilliant' game!

At least try to keep your whining meaningful/constructive.... All you've done is pop in here every so often to fire off your latest whine/rant.

You don't like the game. We get it. It'd be awesome if when you keep on spamming the thread you could at least provide some new reasoning so your posts aren't basically just copy-pastes of each other.

Having not played for a week or so this patch has certainly fixed my sound loss problem and the framerate is so much smoother, I can live with the odd text problem.

good stuff!

I loved the game, though believe it is rarely going to be anything but frustrating to play, unless with regular players like within a clan.
The average bod will never get it and so that is why the games doomed.
Most people want a FPS game they can switch on for a few hours and fully participate in and be useful in, your never going to be able to do it with a game like this, which needs precise co-operation for tactics to be effectual.
This might even be a kind of growing up for me and moving on, though I guess I'll try BF3 (at the least.) before I finally put my toys to bed.

Still not sorted the in game corrupted text issue I see. :(

Yes. :( I'm finding it hard to read items. It's very annoying especially on in game parts. The X was all garbled. If I never knew that I would never have guessed what key to press but there's a lot more text getting garbled than before.

Im feeling the same, what with the lack of decent servers or players usually end up on a server where no-one does anything with the objective or doing what thier class is supposed to do, examples, played last night, conatiner city on the attacking team, i ran in to repair the bot and noticed a soldier on a container above, so after a few deaths was finally able to repair it, died so ran all the way back and the bot was still in the same position, the soldier didnt move from his camping spot to make the bot move even though he was only a few feet away from it.

Another example, playing as engineer again, on the attacking team, different map, ran in to repair the crane controls, died and didnt release as there was a medic about 10 feet away, waitied for 2 respawn timers to count down and the medic didnt even bother to move from his camping spot

Problem with everything on the internet will always be the numpties! I am just too elitist these days and anyone that doesn't play the game properly annoys the hell out of me

Have had some issues with my new pc so am only just getting up to speed with this game properly (i like how people say they haven't played the game for ages hasn't it been out for like 2 weeks!)

Do you guys that actually enjoy playing the game go on the mumble server (the one used by the league of legends players)?

Half of Brink's trouble is in trying to cater for the original rtcw/et fans while also pleasing the more recent cod/bc console crowd. We end up with a game that doesn't know if it wants to be fast and twitch aimy or slow and ironsighty, with huge console crosshairs, hud, chunky names everywhere, and a dumbed down one button does all lockon that, while it making life easier, takes control away from the player. Neither faction will be happy with everything - it's one big compromise.

As much as i'm enjoying Brink - despite it's shortcomings it slays CoD and BC's teamplay and the parkour is excelent - I can't help imagine how much better a Brink designed soley for the PC would be (which is pretty much the case for every shooter that reaches the PC these days).

my mate and I were thinking on getting a server. He has about 4 friends that might be interested.

On public servers is too chaotic, this is a team game and there is not too much team play there.

Organised game play would be fun on this game.

Im still getting the error "The connection to the game session has been lost" as random times on on any server, this is getting beyond a joke. I've done port forwarding too.

That would be because you aren't playing on dedicated servers and you are joining a game that someone is hosting and said hoster leaves/disconnects/pc explodes and then you get that message. I would assume.
