Building my first pc

Is it? only if one was a klutz and one has proven. There's a reason why beverages are for bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens away from electronics, places that it'll be safe and not likely to be knocked over. Seriously though, who in their right mind takes a drink near a PC WIP build or places it on one? Especially one that was just under a thousand? and just casually goes oh well, so to speak. Without freaking out.

This thread feels like a setup, nearly everything points to it. Feels like one of those candid camera moments.

Trust me I didnt go ohwell, I was going insane and could have cried lol. Ive had time to calm down and while I dont think the system will work, I just hope that some (most) of the parts are ok, Ill need to take them to a shop to get them tested, That irn bru case is awesome and I would totally buy it if I had any money left lol. I dont blame any of you guys for laughing as I would do the same. I might win dumbass of the year award but I was trying to get the comp up and running for 9 hours so I think tiredness kicked in (not an excuse, im still an idiot)ha. Thank you guys for all your support.

Ok so I decided to give it a try (I know it's not been 24 hours but all parts were dry) doing an external boot. It still woudnt connect to monitor so I googled it and quite a few people were having the same problem and suggested trying it withoutthe gpu installed, I did this and sure enough it boots up to the no boot device screen! Now im not ruling out damage via the curse bru but atleast it can boot. I hope there is a way to get it to work with gpu as no irn bru seemed to be on the card :S

You could try updating the bios, as this has worked for some people having trouble with their cards not working. Download from the Gigabyte site, Bios f18, unzip the file and load the bios.exe onto a pendrive. Insert into USB slot. Use your manual to show you how to update bios. When you have got into the bios update utility, follow the process and select your pendrive as the source.
But you can do this after you have got everything else up and working. Connect your ssd and install windows.

Sweet mate, How likely is it that this will work? I'll try 2moz after I finish work. If I can get get it all to work i will be the happiest person alive.

Ok so just finished workand gonna rebuild in a bit. Question, I removed the cpu fan so i know I have to put more paste on, I have thermal paste remover, do I need to remover the cpu when I use the thermal paste remover?
