Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box

Burnout has always been a fun game from what i can remember, but from what ive seen nothing major has changed, it looks the same game from the others allbeit a few changes, its the still the same core game though, as Vertigo1 said, £15 squid or less is ok, i cant justify the game at any price above that

Cant believe its being compared with GTA4?!

Its an arcade racer for gods sake! It looks stunning in motion, runs like a charm and is great fun, whats the issue? Stinks of people who bought GTA4 being disappointed that its a crappy port and taking it out on Burnout

im not comparing it to gta, besides gta might be crap for some but i can run it on the highest settings and get around 48fps, so that statement is not true

Im not buying this because for me it looks the same game as burnout 3

Like Call of Duty 5 being the same game as Doom? Of course it's the same core game, it's an arcade racing game.

Except this offers amazing graphics, unmatched online play for a racing game and is highly addictive.

The graphics looks stunning... but all I care about is driving and crashing cars!! Quit y'all whinging! :p

+1

I still play FlatOut, which looks dated now, but it's so much fun.

Burnout looks like FlatOut with more intense, more frequent crashes. Can't go wrong :P

Can't wait til my copy arrives :)

its not my loss, i save myself £20-£40 for something better.

If i wanted this type of game, ill put the old burnouts on my xbox 1 thanks. Ive never said this is a bad game i liked the others, but its still the same drive fast and smash a car then enjoy the slow motion crashes.

Oh and this has bikes i think

Too true Emlyn :( The game looks fantastic, and runs very well. I've always been a fan of Burnout, and it looks to me like they've done the franchise proud yet again.

I really can't understand the 'graphics are rubbish' crowd, it's like you've not even looked at the game, it's your loss at the end of the day. :p

Does anyone who's got it out there want to do a Fraps 720p/1080p capture ?

okay heres a video ingame i made earlier http://files.filefront.com/13199545

it was a 3.7gig fraps file converted to a 250mb video using Windows Movie maker

it shows off the lighting, motion blur and crash effects whilst also showing the frantic speedy gameplay, enjoy

my bandwith is limited, sorry for wasting your time but im not downloading it to see what i already know, and waste bandwith in the process

rofl you certainly are quite mad !! no need to apologise as my post was actually a reply to another forum member doh! ...

Its the same old story top console game comes to the PC and is average at best as the PC has higher standards and people like me expect more for our money. You can pickup Flatout2, GRID, Sega Rally & DIRT and still have change from what this will cost right now!

Sega Rally? The visuals aren't as good? :|
I can't believe you've seen some screenshots and made the choice... Unless you really dislike the latest (or all) Burnout(s) and are just trolling then I don't understand.
This is a good game, with some decent multiplayer carnage and a pretty solid single player experience. The graphics are no way as bad as you make out and EA didn't personally make the game...
Criterion? Never heard of them...

You're damned if you do and damned if you don't in PC land.
On the one hand people are happy that Burnout will finally be getting released on PC. On the other you've got unjustified moaning about graphics and complaints that it costs REAL MONEY!

Shocking that a game with the Burnout label is actually a burnout game... Did you really expect something massively original?

this game was top on the ps3 and topper on the pc, ive got my xbox 360 properly configured now and its smooth. i dont know the ins and outs of graphics but they are more than good enuff for me they are bright smooth and clear and pleasing to the eye imo, ******** to all the lighting shadows and whatever else that you dnt even see when your having a blast with your mates in the airfield. looks like i'll be spending some time on this game completing challenges. you can adjust the clock so its with your local time, so thats a full 24 hour clock, however the sun sets at 8pm in burnout, if i go on now it wont be dark like it is outside. i loved doing the online challenges on the ps3 with friends, used to stay up all night doing them.

and now with 1900x1080 res i can really see the corners coming from a far distance, ps3 you had to be much closer to the corner.

to the guys who arnt impressed just stick to it for a while longer, hopefully you will like it much, i had so many proper laughs with ppl online on the ps3, was awesome. pc version is even more awesome

graphics in the aren't the best that's true but i dont even want it makers of the game said it will run on older systems that's what it does it runs at max on my system and im happy enough with visuals as long as it has good game play which it does just u need to spend some time on it ;)

Has anyones pre order been dispatched yet?

I believe a Jersey etailer is shipping their pre-orders.

I pre-ordered from a certain "bricks and mortar" high street game shop and my order status is "pending". Anyone know how their pre-orders work?

I did get an email today saying my order was now being "processed".

They guarantee release day delivery although I selected 2 day delivery and its not been posted yet.. getting worried as REALLY am looking forward to playing this.
