Anything better than Polar Seal at the minute? I've just ran out and like Polar Seal through the snow foam lance for its easiness to apply protection
polar seal's obviously the combined detergent + conditioner/wax - per my comments a few posts back I'd be going for polar wash £13 for 2.5L , but maybe concentration is different

For external plastics (like bumper trim) you want Solution Finish or Gyeon Q2 Trim.
pretty expensive 30ml/£20+- my plastics aren't smooth and applying that with a toothbrush as I had done with sonax(300ml), it wouldn't last long - maybe just dashboard.
adbl blackouter looks good but can't see it in the UK , just eu.

You just apply the coating with the pads they give you or a microfibre? What plastics are that rough you'd need to use a brush?

Polar Seal isn't a detergent, combined or otherwise, it does a completely different job to Polar Wash - they're not an interchangeable product

ok it's their discrete conditioner - could just say that - I read page wrong, while planning my polar wash purchase

Halfords have buy one, get one half price on Autoglym at the moment FYI (not sure whether it'll beat Amazon).

I might get a couple of Polar Blast's as I'm out of snow foam.

I’ve been tempted to try Halfords Advanced Snowfoam - Works out £16.50 for 5L

£11 for 2.5 (Buy another Half Price)

Checked a YouTube Video and my mate tried some and mentioned it’s economical to use a goes on thick with good cling.

Wouldn't worry about application thickness or 'cling' unless you're looking for a 'show foam' to post on Instagram - these things aren't necessary to create a decent cleaning snow foam as products like Bilt Hamber AutoFoam and Touchless demonstrate.

if you have bumpers (e46) with texture similar to this, or on dash , I'd contend you cant clean or apply conditioner with a microfibre or sponge alone to get into valleys

You aren’t wrong but…

What I like about thickness and cling is the extended dwelling time, I don’t feel rushed or worry the foam is drying out allowing for a substantial amount of time to clean wheels before needing to rinse.

Magifoam has been extremely economical, an inch or so does the trick.

I personally haven’t used Autofoam or Touchless despite how effective they are as PIR seems a faff to me.

All reviewers following instruction and working to 4/5% PIR end up using in excess of 300ml of product. Seems an awful lot and I’m sure other foams at the same ratio would have similar cleaning power.

I’m going to give Halfords Advanced a go as with the offer it’s cheap and can pick it up locally.

Hey all,

What product would work well on swirls and the like?

Red MX5, colour is in a good way, just notice the swirls when the sun's bouncing off it :D

Any go to product/method to improve this?

Honourable mention for Turtlewax UK

I received a 5L Container of Redline Wheel Cleaner but was unable to open it as the lid was completely stuck… (Multiple people also tried with no success)

Even with tools the container was flexing and giving up before the cap was going too.

My only option left was to put a hole in the container and transfer it into another one.

I reached out to Customer Services to explain the issue with the container and they have since sent out a replacement free of charge.

Wasn’t expecting this outcome but I did share an image showing the extremes I had gone to try and get the lid off.

150ml of touchless in a MJJC foam canon, that will do two cars as well.

I do agree about the dwell time, but I've had magifoam on a car for about 10 mins and rinsed off and it's not as clean as 2-3 mins of touchless. I also find it a lot easier to rinse off and it doesn't stay on the drive for ages.

I know it’s cleaning power is highly regarded but as mentioned thought a ton of product was required.

Just used the last of Magifoam therefore I may try Touchless in the very near future.

@V_R
Did you ever get round to wet vacuuming?

Not bad at all, very well kept…
