COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

Went on the TFU server tonight and its annoying i get really bad lag whenever i run directly at someone. its the ONLY server i get the issue on seems strange :S
 
Haha, If people actually used the Hindu Swastika which is completely different to the Nazi Swastika I don't think they'd have a problem, yet people seem to be using the red white and black sign.

Idiots to be honest, I've seen a few in the PC version.

Latest info seems to suggest it's sound related - disabling sound in Windows 7 fixes the stuttering for most people. My experience seems to bear this out because my game mostly stutters when I encounter people for the first time and we shoot at each-other.

yep I banned someone from the TFU server last night for having the nazi swastika as their emblem. Cant speak for all the TFU admin but I personally wont stand for it and will ban anyone I see with it.
 
The thing ive noticed with this game is that there are so many perks flying round that you cant really tell if somebody is cheating or not.

I was chasing this guy last night when he must have jumped about 20 feet in the air over a wall.

I dont know if there is some kind of Spring Heeled Jack perk or what ? :p
 
Fire the Valkyrie directly up into the air and try to push your mouse forward quickly so as to get a view below you, then just aim for the most populated area of red boxes ... if you have a mouse where you can set dpi on the fly, whop it up high and you'll make it much easier for yourself.

Re: Stuttering caused by sound. I was only getting the off fps lag spike but totally got rid of by dropping sound quality in Windows to 16bit/44khz from 24bit/192khz. Some folk may remember that COD5 would BSOD on day one before they patched it if you ran your sound any higher, obviously Treyarch have learning issues.
 
Found a hacket yesterday 18-2 at the end of the round.
He sat looking at walls the entire round and at the right time would pop out, nail someone and go back in again, he even start firing before the person was visible....

The kill cam gives a big indication if someone is cheating, and you can review all your recent games as they save them all so you can watch anyone for the entire round.
 
Are you saying that my PC is recording all the games that I play.

No wonder the game stutters alone if the Pc is having to write to disk as well as reading...

Can this be turned off?

I have to say the game for me is unplayable. Although let's face it my PC is below minimum spec. :(

C2D 6400 2.13Ghz
4G DDR2 1060
ASUS P5QPRO board
4850 Gfx Card. (512 MB)

Still the stuttering for me looks like bottleneck caused by disk activitiy.

some times it's a mircosecond sometimes it's upto 5 seconds and also TS stutters at the same time and the voices go wobbly perhaps could be my wireless connection as well.

Patch hasn't helped me at all. I think I'll try wiring it up directly to router tonight see if it makes any change.

It doesn't write the game to disk, the game data is stored at Treyarch for playback. That's why in theatre mode it has to download first. Yes, it can be turned off via settings/multiplayer.

phew interesting to read that others with much more beefy PC's are having issues. Wonder if it is the sound that's doing it. I just presumed it was muzzle flash.

So annoying to having a scope on someone only to have a 3 sec stutter and wind up dead.
