Discovered Dead Ops Arcade yesterday :D

Played Zombie maps for the first time. Have to say, it just doesn't feel as smooth or as polished as COD5 Zombies.

Vid lol of the day:

I havent been keeping an eye on this thread and havent played black ops for a while...its still laggy on my system dont know if theres been any lag fixes.

Anyway after a random amount of time playing my system crashes and requires a reset, spec in sig anyone got any ideas?

Running catalyst 10.4, nfs shift would crash with the latest driver so I had to use something older.

Are you sure your Q6600 @ 3ghz is stable at that frequency?

Just use the cat 11.3 drivers and wait for the 11.4 to get officially released.

The launch details for the second Call of Duty Black Ops map pack may have been leaked, thanks to a retailer error. Call of Duty Black Ops Escalation is scheduled to arrive on May 3, according to VG247.

Australian retailer GAME accidentally leaked information about the second map pack on its web site and then pulled it. As proven by sales of previous Call of Duty map packs, the launch of this kind of downloadable content is as huge as a new blockbuster game on the consoles.

The new map pack will have five maps entitled Zoo, Hotel, Convoy, Stockpile, and the zombie map Survive. The price wasn’t listed, but previous map pack First Strike was sold on Xbox Live for 1200 Microsoft Points, or $15. We are checking with Activision Blizzard for comment.

Call of Duty Black Ops is one of the best-selling video games of all time, with sales of more than $1 billion since the launch in November. Activision Blizzard previously launched its First Strike map pack in February.

As we noted before, if video games are the new Hollywood, map packs and downloadable content are smart ways to satisfy the insatiable thirst that some gamers have for sequels. Instead of coming years later, though, these downloadable expansions to existing games keep players addicted to a recently released title.

Activision Blizzard said some time ago that it had sold more than 20 million Call of Duty map packs, generating more than $300 million in sales. So it’s clear that map packs are a big business, and video game publishers may want to avoid publishing rival games on May 3, since gamers will be a little busy.

Same here - haven't bought the map pack, haven't even played the game in several weeks and not been able to solve the various issues and even when its not laggy/choppy I don't find it half as fun to play as MW2 or COD4.

Annoys me a bit as I put in 5 hours of MW2/COD4 most nights up until Black Ops came out and now those games are kinda ruined for me as well but I don't get the same satisfaction playing Black Ops so theres a bit of a hole in my life til a worthy sucessor is released - crysis 2 mp went a little way towards that but ultimately the silly games EA have been playing lately and the fairly limited range of perks, etc. left me feeling a bit put off.

does the game scale at all with crossfire?

Was thinking how it would run with my new setup :)

Yes it scales well with crossfire :)

Was getting around 70FPS with reduced setting on the old 8800gts then got one 6950 and kept the same setting and it went to 150-200FPS both at 1900x1200

Then got the 2nd 6950 and a new 27" monitor and getting about 160-220FPS at 2550x1440 which is 1.5 times as many pixels as old monitor.

I limit it to 140FPS and both cards doing about 50-70% depending on the map.

Anyone that tells you 140+ FPS doesn't feel any better hasn't tried it :)

Down side is that i get accused of hacking a lot of the time now :)
