Any news on the H80s?

Can someone with one of these H100's confirm... Would this be much quieter than my evo 212? I hear mode 3 is loud? What about 2 and 1?

Don't think noise is the factor here,i think these are just a gimmick to be honest. They don't cool that much better than mid/high end air cooling,my 212 cools my ivy just great in my antec 300 case,however I want one coz I want one at 35 quid!!!!

switched it to 1 now and the temps havn't really changed much in fact the idle temp is 1C lower than on 3 so not sure whats going in there. sounds much better now.

Hah mine was 1c lower as well but I refused to believe it so just listed it as being the same lol. Nice and quiet and a lot better then my old air cooler.

Mode 3 is crazy loud it's not even funny. Mode 2 is a bit annoying but fine and mode 1 is quiet.

+1 it is ridiculous with the included fans. I have switched to 2x SP120 and it is not so bad now.

Are people using the Link feature or not? I have a fan controller that has a auto mode so not sure whether to use it or not.

I have received my H100, but I'm still waiting for my new motherboard. Is it worth cleaning off the pre-applied thermal paste and apply my own or just leave it?

The pre-applied stuff is quite good by all accounts MikeTheNative. I've left it on mine, seems to be idling around 15 degrees.

Well my H100 arrived haven't tested it yet, but when I opened the overclockers box with the H100 box inside there was also a bag of Haribo sweets weird

The pre-applied stuff is quite good by all accounts MikeTheNative. I've left it on mine, seems to be idling around 15 degrees.

I will leave it on then, there are a few black marks on the block though, not entirely sure what they are.

OCUK give out free bags of sweets with some orders, I got some as well. I'm not sure why they do it, but it's free Haribo so I'm not going to complain.
