Crysis experimentings

Just a quick question guys. How do I install the real lifesis mod on a steam version of Crysis?

In exactly the same way as you would for the non-steam version, except you install it to the
steamapps/crysis folder.

On a different note, does anyone find the distance blurring for Reallifesys activates at way too close a distance, and if so then any suggestions on fixing that?

"The ToD:

either place it somewhere in your \levels foders or open up the SB2 editor and go to the terrain\Time of Day editor then import the ToD and add your prefered play speed :)

for playing it ingame and not in the editor (in the words of Insanto :P)

" you ave to "file/export to engine" first.
also if that doesn't work press record in the TOD tab and slide around once, then export again, then it should be in the gameFiles indefinately "

To use the flowgraphs:

open them in the flowgraph editor and save then export to engine as well

RECOMMENDED PLAY SPEED FOR TOD
0.0025

please Enjoy :)

also included slightely edited version of ToD

and look out in the future for Re-Alight which will be the second real lifesis ;)"

What on earth does all this jargon mean?

Ignore all that, Vegeta, and look at the link I posted above (post 79).
I had avoided Lifesis because I couldn't understand those instructions. Originally there was a simple installer, but it hd been pulled from the guru3d site for some reason. But I dound someone had uploaded it to megaupload. That's the link above.

Once you install it, it will add a bunch of lifesis.exe files inside your Crysis\game\Levels folder. Each applies a different set of adjustments, you can try each in turn to find the one you like best.

Look for "r_depthoffield=2" in the autoexec.cfg file. Change it to 1 to make it not so over-the-top, or 0 to disable it altogether.

Thanks very much mate! To install all features do I just install every reallifesis_XXXXXXX.exe in my crysis/game/levels folder? Or do I just install the .exe's with 1's at the end of them as 2 is reallifesis version 2?

Guys whats the best MOD for making the game look as photorealistic as possible and not affecting gameplay or reducing the fps dramatically? I really like the look of extreme quality mod but I don't like the fact that you die if you get hit once.

Photo realism - I think it's real lifesis or Reli2. Others will say different.

I've tried them and I didn't like them. They just seemed to make everything really bright which washed the colours out for me.

Did you use the configs that come with them? If you don't use the configs that come with them, then it makes it too bright. The configs tweak the lighting a bit to make them look their best :)

As I am planning a Crysis and Warhead replay before buying Crysis 2 (and now that I can hopefully play Crysis at 1920 x 1200 maxed out), this is exactly the type of Crysis Mods thread I was looking for. Many thanks TheCenturian, only just started it but it looks like really good work.

You're very welcome buddy :)

I did yeah. I use the .exe installer and the autoexec.

Hmm. That's strange, I've posted a few pics of real lifesis in threads such as the hi res screenshot thread. Does yours look brighter than mine?

For anyone who wants it, here is the high res foliage mod: http://rapidshare.com/files/416097298/High_Resolution_Foliage.zip

You're a legend centurion! i've been looking for High res Foliage for a while. It's been the only one i couldn't find since Crymod went down.

I installed Reallifesis yesterday for the first time (finally). It makes a big difference imo. Much better than Natural Mod.:)

Looks the same as yours Centurion but I tried it again and i've grown to like it so using it lol. What's the link to the High textures one please? Not the foliage but the texutures.

I've come to the conclusion.
Reallifesis
Foliage Mod
Rygels texture mod.

I personally think Cyberalien78's Extreme quality mod (or something like that) looks the best but it makes the game unplayable.

Not sure if anyone has had similar problems, but if I put the two texture PAK files from Rygels and HD foilage pack in my crysis/game folder, they don't appear to update in the game itself and it uses stock textures. Must be doing something wrong somewhere, perhaps a reinstall will fix it. Reallifesis working fine though, be nice to find an updated version of the depth of field though, set to 2 it's too much, and set to 1 only seems to work in iron sight view.

PS thanks to Centurion for linking the HD foilage mod :D

I have the same problem, not sure why, and thanks Centurion!
Now I just need to get it working. :)
