Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC expansion

Do you need to complete the main story first? or is this a completely separate side story?
Its a side story that you can do with an old save or a new play through anytime after you trigger the Voodoo Boys quests and I believe there's a way to get to it from the start of a new playthrough. If you make certain decisions during PL it adds another end game option

It's all good, I went through the same memory experience so know how it can be when it doesn't work and nothing makes sense until it makes sense :D

I'm in the office today and all'I can think about is where Solomon Reed is going to take me next in Dog Town. This game makes you think about it for days lol.

Back on the OG game's launch I felt the same but about Arisaka's bs lol. It gets in your head!
You're a legend mate! Yeah what a nightmare, it seems to be behaving though, glad I didn't have to RMA them, means I still gained CAS16 vs CAS18 if I'd bought the slightly cheaper 3200mhz same type.

Hahaha amazing! I'm like that with stuff, except I just walk around places having flashbacks/quotes of stuff pop into my head and start laughing, looking like a weirdo (standard) haha!
I think this is WAY better than the first's main story, that finally gets going then ends about a quarter of the time later sigh. This has been mint from the start IMHO.

I hate headphones, earphones at night sure, but the cups on headphones hurt/ache my ears and make my head get really hot/ear sweat, also hate having a cable.
TBF the BT5.2 or whatever they are earphones I have are very close to being in sync when playing SP games so do me fine at night.
FWIW though I have some hardcore speakers/sub/amp next to my monitor so I obviously prefer them too :)

I don't scrimp on graphics don't worry ;) just like having something that's silent and not like a furnace next to me, my rigs already next to an airing cupboard as it is hahaha! With my cheeky undervolt my fans on my gpu don't even turn on and my cpu tends to spend it's life at 53-57c in games in 'eco 65w' mode :) Living the dream haha!
Yea I get you. Take a look at the steel series pro wireless. They are expensive but it's the most comfortable headset I've ever had

Cant do headsets man, sweatfest and ear ache, hate 'em. earphones do me fine as mainly only play SP, but play CS but with speakers so that's fine haha.

Oh and @mrk zero issues at all today/tonight, so I'm not gonna say anymore that than but ;) :D

Yep don't ant to jinx it now :D

As for headphones, I cannot live without big but light open-air headphones. For me the HD650 feel like I've basically attached my speakers to my head - Love them for gaming

A rue cinematic moment earlier this eve when fighting my way on top of a high rise to get to an air drop, cleared the scene then slowly edged toward the bit where the drop landed to be greeted by am amazing atmosphere with the sun rays coming through, the smoke from the drop reacting to the sun rays and the overall scene just felt so good.

Expansion's pretty crashy for me during the main missions. I've had no crashes in over 35 hours of the regular 2.0 update so far. Here's hoping the 2.01 patch fixes it.

hello guys just installed the latest version with phantom and the nvngx_dlss.dll is 3.1.1.0 should I install the latest from techpowerup

3.5.0 is there a diffrence?

You not happen to be using a modified Katana by chance ? There was a bug where such a weapon caused crashes, but only if it was modified, as your in game modification, not a nexus mod.

Yeh, it's a modified Katana. Never seen this bug prior to PL. Weird.

EDIT: Switched to another Katana and no crashes so far. Thanks for the tip. :)

Put over 24hrs into the DLC so far, lots of positives, a few negatives, still a lot of of "unfixed" core issues vs my modded v1.63. Game is very stable for me, (always has been to be fair at <5 crashes in 380+hrs) but v2.0/DLC has introduced a few visual glitches absent before with an occasional T-Pose, missing Skin texture (on LizzyWizzy which kind of spoils her part), and a more common "dementor" appearance as an item of clothing on an NPC explodes all over the screen when you get close to them.

One thing I really do like with the DLC in comparison to the full game, is that almost all the decisions the DLC forces you to make are far more morally "grey" than most the jobs in the main game, with no obvious "this is the right choice for everyone" decisions and instead lots of "neither choice is good so who do you want to hurt less" which I really like, despite it making the DLC harder to play if you're looking for only "good" outcomes.

In the opposite direction, one thing I really don't like is the new "matched" progression/scaling system, where enemies level scaling matches your own which, in effect, means that level scaling feel worthless i.e. At level 1 a basic enemy needs 2 headshots from a pistol to die, yet at level 58 (I think I'm at) with the same type of pistol but now at Tier 5++, it still takes 2 headshots for a random enemy to die etc because the enemies scale alongside you. That idea of scaling, for me at least, is just really, really poorly implemented because you don't feel any progression vs the enemies you fight, even though you massively change your character over time with leveling etc.
