Dark Souls 2 - Thread

I have to say, I am enjoying the game much more 2nd time around. The slight graphics improvement and better framerate make a massive difference imo.

Now desperately searching for a Lockstone

I had no issues with the sentinels as I killed them on the 3rd or 4th try. First one is easy on platform then jump down to take tackle the other two. I circled them with shield up, waited for them to throw their own shields (after I got one shot by a shield throw previously) and finally just let one of them do a slow combo, while the other often did a jump attack, thus creating a window to hit once or twice without putting myself in danger. Was a bit slow but nowhere near as difficult and tense as the Pursuer (I just hate attacks that ignore shield guard!).

I think the problem was my style of play, I just play with 2 handed with a 1hand sword! So rather than block I tend to dodge a lot ^^

I just beat the Lost Sinner first time. Couldn't do the trick, so was in the dark. I summoned for it, as I enjoy summoning tbh. The guy I summoned was a spellcaster, so I basically took all of the heat whilst the other guy hit with from a distance...Teamwork:cool:

The Lost Sinner took me about 15 attempts firs time I played it trying to solo it!...but then I struggled on the run to it as well

I have tried to balance my character so that basically I can fit with any kind of player that summons me. Playing a high dex/int character that can absorb a fair bit, quick-roll, attack quickly and cast some spells.

Theres a hidden wall. you go to click to reveal it but someones put a message onthe exact spot you need to click the wall. What can you do?

The whole VAC ban aspect seems alittle severe IMO. I can understand it in games such as TF2, CS:GO, DOTA2 etc which are tied to marketplaces, or competitive games such as CoD and the likes. But DarkSouls2, really?

Why not just ban them from the DarkSouls2 servers? I hope theres no innocent fallout in regards to ENB and the likes.

Is anyone else playing as a duel wielding swordsman? I was struggling at the start without a block - too used to being a tin can with a massive shield - but have gotten used to rolling around and am doing ok now. I love the power stance too :) One thing tho - regardless of how much gear I have on, my character always feels sluggish. I'm sure the lighter classes were faster in the previous games. Has anyone else noticed this?

It's all agility based, so level adaptability if you want to move better. That and having under 25% of your equipment weight.

The speed you roll will never change but its distance will depending on what bracket your equip load is in (0/25/50/70).

But, unlike the last game your equip load is governed by Vitality instead of Endurance so you need to put some points in to Vitality to increase your equip load if you want to wear heavier armour.

Agility will only increase (very slightly) the amount of invincibility frames you have when rolling.

Yes I am, try to keep mobility around 50-55%. I'm using 2hand with a 1hand sword aswell.
It is definitely about learning to dodge with this style of play, this involves dying a lot to bosses to learn their moves.

As melee always try to keep at the back of your opponent.
