Dark Souls 2 - Thread

Yes I am, try to keep mobility around 50-55%. I'm using 2hand with a 1hand sword aswell.
It is definitely about learning to dodge with this style of play, this involves dying a lot to bosses to learn their moves.

As melee always try to keep at the back of your opponent.

Ta, I'll try and keep mobility around 50% too. I'm using powerstance with two weapons btw. Uses stamina quickly but cuts ppl to bits :)

I didn't like not being able to parry, I felt too open with two swords :( Saying that I've never parried once, just rolled around :p Most important thing is patience.

You can Parry with two swords.

Still underwhelmed by the weapons you get from boss souls. Not much in the way of dex weapons, and the ones there are, you can't upgrade for a while anyway, so are nowhere near as good as my other weapons.

L2. I'm using dual scimitars, and can Parry with the left one.... I rarely Parry though tbh, as I use it two handed.

I use two scimitars too :) Their power stance double attack isn't actually that slow to land. I usually combo Rb, Lb into L1, or roll in with Rb, Lb, L1 - then my guy's almost completely spent and has to run away!

Took a while to decide between scimitars and falchions, as I have two of each. Falchion has better base damage, but I don't like the moveset so much. Scimitar+5 is my best weapon by far, and is so quick!

I tried the Warped sword from the Flexile Sentry's soul, but as I said earlier, it can't be upgraded for a while, so for damage it can't compete with my others.

Edit- Just finally beat the Gargoyles....first time. It took me about 5 attempts to reach them, as every time I set foot in the area, I get invaded by usually two grey spirits. The last tow weren't prepared for my lightning-fast attacks though:cool:

You have several places you could go.

There is the well in Majula. Run back to Heides Tower from Majula and you'll find somewhere new to go by talking to an NPC. Also past Benhart is another area if you have an item which can deal with statues.

died when i dropped down the well, even with the cat ring on. need to put more points in hp before i go there. the twisty room i may have to do but what do i use for the statues?

There's another way down the well that you'll be able to use if you complete one of the other areas. The stone people can be unfrozen with an item called 'fragrant branch of yore'.

If you've got the miracle lady after the dragonrider to move back to Majula, there is another path you can open from the room she moves to. I'd suggest having a look there and going down that route.

cheers, got a yore but never looked at it.

Really struggling to dual-wield Iron Keep. Gonna have to go back to shield I think. The guards attacks are barely telegraphed and it is very easy to get caught out.

In fact tbh, I have only stayed dual-wielding for two bosses, the rest I revert to shield.

Was gonna say the same I hate using controllers that's why I've never owned a console but this game feels perfect with Xbox pad and lying in bed.
