Dark Souls 2 - Thread

Durability on my +10 Halberd is 10 points more than my +10 Claymore yet only lasts a quarter of the time.

I read something about sharper weapons decaying faster, decay rates varying from mob to mob depending on their armour; if you hit their shields or not, weapons hitting floors/walls counts towards loss, and also weapons with special move sets eating lots of durability when using said special move.

There is a ring you get fairly early that slows weapon degradation. Absolutely essential for me with high dex-low durability weapons that I use. Can't remember the name of it, or where you get it(as usual) but it is definitely early.

Also, mentioning a halbred, I imagine you hit the wall/floor quite a bit with them.

Yeah its natural moveset hits the floor, i dont mind a challenge but durability really takes the fun out of using the halberd style weapons IMO.

The ring is the Bracing Knuckle ring. I won't give it away, but you should get it before the first Large Soul. The normal Bracing Knuckle ring slows weapon degradation by 20%, the +2 one by 45%

How do I make a really powerful archer build guys? I'm at lvl 79, have invested loads of souls into levelling dex, stamina, agility but my bow damage is still rather turd. I've upgraded the short bow to +6, have 999 iron and wood arrows but not once have a found a decent bow. I've just defeated the 3 sentinels, was wondering how I hit hard with a bow. Can I add fire or lightning to my bow or arrows to really pack a punch?

My Collector's Edition was finally delivered today!

My first CE edition of a game I have ever purchased and I really like what's in the box. The Souls games have been one of my favorite games so I definitely felt it was worth splashing out extra.
