Dark Souls 2 - Thread

On a side note, if you played DS2 first will playing DS1 be a let down? Normally sequels are more refined so was wondering if I would enjoy DS1? Anyhow will be in a while though, not got the effort to go back into a souls game right now.

No because DS1 is substantially better :D

The move set for the Halberd... what on God's sweet earth have they done????

yeh they messed up a lot of the weapons when compared to the first..Was gutted about the Zweihander.

I completed it but just wrapping up a few things (boss weapons) and sunbro medals before switching to speed-running it.

Done some bosses on NG+ for the items but doubt I will ever actually do a full playthough on NG+

Nothing really else I want to play other than CSGO so this has still got my attention.

Not long til the first dlc, i am unsure if i want to go for it or play it by ear

I love ds2, 100% on steam

But i just worry the quality of the content may not be on par. Saying that though, ds1 dlc was great

Yeah, Dark Souls 1 DLC was arguably of even higher quality than the rest of the game. My opinion of DS2 is that it isn't quite on par, but I'm willing to try out the DLC and see how it holds up.

Anyone else excited that tomorrow around 6PM the first DLC pack is live on Steam :D ...I know £19.99 is a lot but that's the pre-order price apparently it goes up after tomorrow

Not really....Gonna get them all at the same time and play through the entire game fresh in about 3 months time, or whenever they are all out.

I would be lying if I said I hadn't been thinking about which build to play though;)

I wasn't really that bother about this game until my mate told me to check it out, I've now added it to my Steam Wish list and will have to pick it up next times it's on offer anywhere :)

You can prepare a save at the DLC door but its still locked until they allow players to receive the item to open it.

Anyone playing right now is either hacking or a reviewer/playtester ;)

Sounds good! Does anyone know if this scales with ng+

For example im on ng++ now so will the dlc area start here or be reverted to 'base' difficulty and scale seperatly? If anyone could let me know that would be cool ty :)
